Predict Virginia's Offensive Numbers

They've beat us 3 in a row. Number 4 is less than 5 days away. We will make them look good enough that Mike London could still have a job after this season. They will play their best game of the year

If that guy goes this season, I would go hard after some of those players. At least try to get the following to visit:

Quinn Blanding (S) and Andrew Brown (DT)

Would consider it a lateral move for those two at best....

Good one.

211 yards rushing, 296 passing, and post game presser along these lines.

"We had to many guys freelancing, and ME's that have to and will be corrected. It is my responsibility, and we have to do better. All of us, coaches players, etc."

Coach, aren't guys supposed to somewhat freelance on D and use their instincts to make plays?

"Well to a degree, but we need guys who will sit in their zone and not move. If you are supposed to blitz, walk up to line stand there for 13 seconds, while the QB changes his protection and blitz right into the slide protect, bc that is what you were coached up to do, blitz off the edge."

Coach, why dont you ever play 17 an 98 on 1st or 2nd down to give you a better pass rush in non obvious pass situations.

"Well, we saw last week, we were getting gashed all day long, so we put Tyriq in for a play, and they ran for 40 yards off his side, so we had to get our bigger players in there 51 and 71, even though they were giving up 20 yarders all game."

Why not play 17,98,5,56,2,26,3,21,37,1,29,52,36 and keep it at that? We rotate 30 guys and 22 has improved some to maybe see the field, but 30,31,34,59 have no business being on the field.

It is the same crap over and over, Defense is played on emotion and will, and when you get guys thinking and just standing around afraid to make a mistake, how in the **** can they be aggressive? It is just painful to watch, plain and simple.

They will have as many yards as they want and score all the points they need.

And that will make most of us want to throw something at our TV at the abomination UM calls a defense.

Predict how Virginia's offense will fare against us this Saturday.

Some background:

Virginia offensive numbers this season

Total Offense: Rank 95th (365 ypg, 4.36 yards/play)
Scoring Offense: Rank 107 (20.5 ppg)
Rushing Offense: Rank 81 (152.7 ypg, 3.67 yds/rush)
Passing Offense: Rank 81 (212.6 ypg, 5.05 yds/attempt, 8.97 yds/completion)

Their schedule thus far: http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/258/

Their total yards today: 483
Points: 26
Rushing O: 243
Passing O: 240

They did surpass all of their season averages today. Defense still sucks to the eye test. Opening play was great. After that, meh. The Gunter pick was not because of anything the defense did and the Rodgers pick I'll give credit to defensive execution.

The McCord strip-sack after Virginia had driven down the field on us with their backup QB was everything that Doritos hopes and dreams for. Yards don't matter. Those fools were marching on us until McCord stepped up. That doesn't happen against good teams and four turnovers don't happen against good teams. This defensive model is not sustainable. Not if we ever want to be elite again.
