Pre-Paradise Camp Q&A

Joey Porter Jr. Not sure if he's coming but he recently put us in his top 5. What do you think of him?

Is Dixon being looked at as a 4th corner or are they going to compare him to Good and possibly drop Good if Dixon out performs him?

Name you're most surprised isn't attending Paradise?

The famous crystal balls were put in Miami’s favor for Jalen Rivers and Chantz Williams yesterday. Would you say they are on commit watch? Seems like it’s been quiet on the recruiting front for those two over the last few months.

IT seems that Paradise Camp has always been more about local and committed kids who are interested in Miami. With Florida and FSU camps it seems to be more about a big party inviting every 5 star possible to attend. What do you feel is the best model? Do you think even though most of them 5* kids won’t commit to uF or FSU the hype is more beneficial For the program even the Miami’s model is logistically better?

I’ll try to be objective even though I know a UF or FSU will say “he said that because he’s a Cane fan.”

Those two camps are a lot of fluff and the reason I say fluff is they will have kids from OOS come in who are not even serious or won’t even sign with them in the end.(UF or FSU) Compared to where Miami has picked up huge chunk of their committed guys and signees through these camps and has showcased underclassmen who didn’t have a lot of hype yet and have turned into future blue chippers and I’m confident will again. I know coaches who have gone to all three, the reviews regarding UF camp is that it’s dead compared to when Urban Meyer used to run the camp. FSU runs a good camp but doesn’t posses the feel of Paradise. Paradise is more of an exclusive event opposed to just letting anyone in who wants to compete. For the most part, I’ve noticed too that the top dogs actually compete at paradise opposed to how at other camps where the top kids simply sitting around and watching. This is the truth. The model Miami has for paradise camp is perfect, which leads right off the camps where almost anyone can come and compete in June. Paradise in July is for a set criteria, Miami material, the best of the best.

I stated before I have a Gilbert Frierson vibe about Tyrique Stevenson. I can’t say with concrete evidence right now where he would sign in the end but as of today, I think it’s Miami just based of what I have heard and seen so far.

I don't know why these fans think these RECRUITS have to keep visiting Miami for events, this is the process go to different places and enjoy it!! TS have come on campus more then any other commit or target!! SOME PPL DON'T UNDERSTAND, that for some kid's this the only time they will be able to see other places.. LET THEM ENJOY THE PROCESS AND SEE OTHER PLACES..

What are your thoughts on john dixon
Good size. Physical and good speed. Limited film but honestly love how physical he is as a corner. If he’s not competing tomorrow I don’t think anything will change regarding his status on the board with Miami for now. Season could be telling though.
