Practice 4/2

The ends, man. The **** ends. Pierre, Porter, and Robinson are going to be strong up the middle, but the ****ing defensive ends are a major concern.

Don't really have any 3 down ends. Chick should definitely be able to hold up in the run game, as should Green, but some folks need to emerge as big time pass rushers, as we have none currently. Hopefully Bond and AQM in the summer will help that.

Just slide Chick and Hamilton/Green inside on obvious passing downs and bring in Terry, McCord, Bond and AQM to rush the QB. If guys stay healthy we have more than enough to get to the QB.

Great news about Olson Pierre! Hey if you have two big time DTs in the middle the work is alot easier for the DEs. If Porter wants to get paid and Pierre keeps beastin it really wont matter who we line up at DE.

The battles for those two OT spots between Sonny-KC-Gadbois-and Darling are gonna be great over the next 2-3 years. (After Flowers leaves for the NFL after his junior year of course)

If Jimmy Gaines can have a senior year breakout like Tavares Gooden did this front 7 could be interesting to see.

Hope Denzel realizes that the "Hot body" contests are over now and hes gonna need to put those muscles to good use on football field now instead of taking shirtless pics. Cuz Gaines and Kirby are lookin to shut him out of that starting 3..

When was the last time we had a qb who everyone had confidence in going into the next year. They were the man and had an established track record where we could point to and say they are ready for the next step?

Really excited to see stephen evolve into the best player he can be

I take spring comments with a truckload of salt, but glad to hear about O. Pierre. You guys know where I stand on his progress last year and going into this year. Some knowledgeable posters have said he's just above an ordinary guy. I concede i may be overly hopeful and wonder if my optimism is skewed by my desperation for a legit DT.

I think Stephen takes the next steps.. meaning he single handily brings us another 3 to 4 wins. I am expecting a huge season from Mr. Morris the type that catapults him up draft boards and increases his earning potential.

SHout outs to Chip Brierre! Great little production he has put together over there.:stormwarning:

Since you say this you can't help but to throw potential heisman candidate out there

I think we have to outscore temas again this year. Our line will not be stopping the run and pressure is a question mark. The secondary will have better personnel but if the line has problems it wont matter.

If the secondary is better they can put 8 in the box to stop the run more often. Improvement in any area of the defense will send a ripple of improvement throughout the whole unit.

Though I am not going to say we will be dominant, I will say that when you look at the last 4 games when Porter played, statistically we gave up on 130+ yards a game rushing, which would have been top 30 against the run over the course of a full season. No coincidence as well that we all recognized Pierre's play those final 4 games as it conicided with the return of Porter. Also of note, and I know this from who I get info from, was that Porter in those final 4 games was nowhere near full strength when he returned from his appendectomy. Now please don't go with the argument of "of course the run yardage was like that because we gave up so much passing" because both the run d and pass d was horrific before Porter returned. A healthy Porter alongside Pierre will make us stout against the run as the final 4 games showed us, add into it a more mature back ups in Robinson, Moore, King and I am not concerned with the run D. Pass D is another story, we still do not know who will emerge as pass rushers to help the pass D. Defensively next year it will all hinge on the pass rush, so long as Porter and Pierre stay healthy, and the latter is still a question mark going into the year. If Porter (please God please!) and Pierre stay healthy, we will truly see what we have at edge rushers, since they will likely get a lot of one on ones as those two D tackles will occupy the guards and center.

Please let the dline stay healthy, defense might just be halfway decent this year.

Anyone else notice during the Coley interview on Hurricane Sports, that Antonio Crawford was behind him holding that black jersey? I know we all expect big things from this kid, but this is my first time noticing this.:stormwarning: However it's NOT my first time noticing how grotesque the Beast Brian London is.
