I'm all aboard the Gus Bus and the Tuck Truck this spring.

tuck truck aint ever been nothin and aint ever gonna be nothin... The kid is fast...that's about it. Did he ever even do anything in highschool?

Gus is big and fast, but also makes people miss. If he develops better vision and pad level.....watch out.

We need football players and playmakers that are also great athletes. Not one without the other..

I think Tucker gained 900 yards one season at Heritage with close to a 10 yards per carry average. I wouldn't say that's "nothing", and he's certainly not a "bum" like some other ****** called him.

don't know what he did as a Junior, but as a senior he rushed for 343 yards and 5 TDs on 36 carries... And although he has the size and speed, i never thought he was deserving of a scholarship here because i don't think he posses the instincts, vision and feet of a true UM caliber back. Hope I'm wrong.

I would be happy if he eventually develops into what Mike James became as a senior, but Mike possessed the character and work ethic necessary to better his skill set every year and unlike Tucker, he didn't end up in the cafeteria when he shoulda been in the gym...

Grace is still too small, but his quick-twitch ability will get him on the field.

FSU had that LB playing at 220 or something small last year. I know our D likes big LBs, but Grace doesn't need to be more than 230 IMO

Telvin Smith played at 215 for them last year. Spence was what, 190 when he played for us his freshman year?

Grace can play at 200, but our staff wants our backers to be 225 before they see the field.

Telvin is powerful... that's the difference.

Weight and/or strength really don't mean much in sports if it's not functional strength.

Powerlifters vs bodybuilders.

Bodybuilders are twice their size yet powerlifters would fvckin destroy them on a football field.

Actually even though they're called power lifters, they are strong but not necessarily explosive. They do Squat, Bench and Deadlift, but the weight is heavy and moves very slow.

Olympic Weightlifters are explosive because they move weight fast.
The names make it confusing.

You are right but at this point he is way too small to get on the field IMO. His body hasn't progressed like I thought it would have by now. One more year for grace.

Please dont say things like that. Kid was obvious good enough to get some decent offers even from Clemson. He spent a lot of time backing up one of the best backs in the country. I say you find a way to utilize that 4.4. speed he brings to the table

David Perry had offers from every program that matters in the country. Highly recruited or lowly recruited you're gonna have guys who do nothing more than block on PATs and field goals or run down on special teams.

Is Walter Tucker the reason some potential all-american doesn't have a scholarship? Doubtful.

If you can tell me who legitimately didn't get a spot because Walter Tucker is in a Cane uniform then all this angst over a sophomore who is only in the spotlight because of two leg injuries to two 5-star RBs is warranted. At worst he runs down and tackles people on special teams his entire career which isn't an awful way to dole one of those out to the 79th or 80th guy on the roster if that is what he is. Sanctions or no sanctions the 80th guy on the roster wouldn't be doing anything more than that even at a program that has its **** together.

Agreed... Tucker could be a Quadtrine Hill type of FB for us.

Hill was not a "prototype FB" and he did not have the speed to play RB, but he had a ton of heart and was a great blocker and receiver out of the backfield... Hopefully Tucker can give us that type of production.
