possible joy tonight needs to be tempered by the news

it's a terrible thing that happened, and, if guilty, and i know they've admitted guilt, then they should be punished. but, without knowing the girl, it's pretty hard to be really torn up over the situation. i can empathize with the family and the girl over what happened, but, not being close to the situation it will unfortunately be forgotten about by me in a couple days.

actually, the news of scarlett and bruce is really exciting and overriding my sadness and devastation i felt early. thanks.
 
This type of terrible crime happens far too often in our universities. It only makes the national news when it is committed by an athlete. Good things happened today for Miami and that shouldn't be over shadowed by what 2 former players did.

The devastating news canenation just got from Figs and Blue and most importantly the girl and her family is a big bummer.

She will carry scars for her life and Figs' and Blue's families are certain to do the same.

Cannot comprehend the news (especially for Figs who SEEMED like a great guy).

Sad day for all of us.

Or the fact that waiters shouldn't get tips, even though they get $3.50 an hour just because someone was "offended".
