Possible D-Line/DT Coach

Super garbage. How tf can you absolve Mario of ANY blame as the head man in charge when he could easily say " Don't do that dumb ****". Like what? Anything thing the defense does is 100% on the HC because he ALLOWS it.

What a dumb post by Canezum5.

It's on the DC. Either the DC calls stunts or should step in to prevent them. Only people such as yourself interpret that as "absolving Mario of any blame".

Just a bunch of porsters who want to blame Mario for everything, regardless of job titles and responsbilities.

I’m quite sure you wouldn’t speak those words “***** posters” to their faces

I hate that we are tied down to Jason Taylor. My understanding is that the “higher ups” want us to stick with Taylor. I’m sure he can recruit and recruits families like him but I know for a fact that some players on the team dislike him. Moten hates JT. That’s from the horse’s as I know the Moten family.
Is that cause we constantly see JT yelling at Moten cause he doesnt do his job/makes mistakes

Appreciate the timeline correction. This article says Diaz is a top contender w/ interviews lined up, and I wonder if that affected Feeley’s decision.

Duke director of football sports performance David Feeley has informed Duke's players that he will be following Mike Elko to Texas A&M, @GigEm247 has learned ($). https://t.co/jDaB1SJ4MQ

— Carter Karels (@CarterKarels) November 27, 2023 (Week before Footballscoop report)

After Feeley won S&C coach of the year in 2023, and chose to stay at Duke, Elko still praised him in an excerpt, “He instilled the grit in them. He pushes the players to their limits, and they love him for it. He’s really unique; very deserving of this award.”At Elko’s behest, Feeley had instilled a “boxer’s mentality” into the Duke football program.

Didn’t realize Feeley turned down the job. I thought Elko, not Feeley, made the decision. Did more research after your reply.

Apologies for my wrong interpretation from this Elko interview. Anyways, here is what I had previously read that made me assume incorrectly.

“I had never met Coach Moffitt in my career, we had had one of his assistants on our staff at Duke and so I knew of him. When I dug into him and really started interviewing and talking to him, I was blown away by how modern he was,” Elko said.

“When you have a guy who has had as much success as he has and has a resume as long as he does, three national championships for three different head coaches, you anticipate maybe there being a little bit of an old school thought process and it was the exact opposite.”

Said assistant: Jeremy Jacobs joined Texas A&M’s staff in January 2024 and serves as the Associate Director of Football Strength and Conditioning/Director of Football Applied Sports Science.

Prior to coming to Aggieland, Jacobs served as an associate director for sports performance and head of football applied sports science at Duke University.

Jacobs served a six-year stint (2016-21) in a variety of different roles at Louisiana State University (LSU), most recently as the associate director of strength and conditioning for football. He also served as a strength and conditioning coach (2018-19) and graduate assistant coach (2016-17) during his time with the Tigers.

I’ll take another Gerald Willis tho.
I'll take the DT rotation we had in 2018, Willis, Norton and McIntosh with Pat Bethel coming off of the bench. However I can't help but feel that with the talent we have brought in the past 2 classes plus David Blay that we should be able to exceed that. I would also like to see Rueben Bain move inside. He could conceivably wreak havoc on interior OLs in the ACC which would take our Defensive Line to the next level and have a profound effect on the play of our Linebackers. Combine that with the tremendous upgrade in the secondary, particularly at Cornerback with the leadership of new DC Corey Hetherman and his focus on fundamentals while running simple yet aggressive concepts and I'm ready to buy stock in our defense.

DE Marquis Lightfoot/Booker Pickett Jr/Hayden Lowe
DT Rueben Bain/Justin Scott/Josh Horton
DT David Blay/Ahmad Moten/Artavious Jones
DE Akheem Mesidor/Armando Blount/Cole McConathy
WLB Adarius Hayes/Bobby Washington
MLB Wes Bissainthe/Kevin Wiley
SLB Cam Pruitt/Ezekiel Marcellin
CB Xavier Lucas/Ethan O’Connor/Ryan Mack/Bryce Fitzgerald
FS Zechariah Poyser/Dylan Day/Markieth Williams
SS Damari Brown/Zaquan Patterson/Amari Wallace
NB Charles Brantley/Damari Brown
CB OJ Frederique/Emmanuel Karnley/Jaboree Antoine/Chris Ewald
