Possible D-Line/DT Coach

I know it's been forever since I played, but wouldn't it be unusual for the D line coach to be calling stunts on his own? The DC is calling the defense and I can't see Guidry just letting JT add in twists on the line.
Yeah, our coordinators call the offense and defense position coaches coach their positions within the scheme of each the D line isn’t gonna do something, not called within the scheme of the defense by Guidry

Are we sure it was on Taylor? I never seen a d-line coach tell his guys to run some independently of what the play calls for
It wasn't independent of the play call though. It was situational. But there's only so many things you can deploy inside of scheme outside of basic ****. Wasn't much creativity in that. He just chose in basically every passing down that we had freedom a stunt.

If only the HC was able to correct this during this past season
You're right. Mario should've #1 never promoted him. #2 never gave boosters the power to speak up and be heard (at all) #3 never have gave JT a job that put him in a role over Joe. #4 never have gave fans or boosters any credence that believe because someone has a gold jacket as a player that it directly correlates to any ability as a coach. #5 Move off from this thought that unless someone is a top notch recruiter, they shouldn't be a position coach. Have a great day.

It wasn't independent. It was situational. How many situation pop up from one play to the next that really alter if youre at the end of the day playing the run or playing the pass. From that point you only have about 6 options. Not too much to it.

So some of our brilliant fans didn't think he was good enough for Miami, but he was good enough for the NFL....
Coach Kul did this same thing with Falcons. Our fans are delusional but it doesn’t make him a shoe-in.

/Minnesota fans love him though.

Sorry but I was referring to Guidry repeatedly running stunts on the defensive line,

Due to CIS I was under the impression that Jason Taylor didn’t want to do the stunts and Guidry did.

Anyway, head coach should’ve stepped in and corrected it

I was referring to both of them. Guidry was an issue for multiple reasons and JT was for one reason. That impression they apparently gave you is incorrect.
