Yes and No. They matter. The teams who recruit the best win the most, period. What you said makes sense, of course. There are busts, this is not an exact science. But the gators take kids who have no shot of qualifying just to get their name higher on a list. I don't think we're talking about that here. These are genuine prospects, they just happen to be highly ranked and would move us up on said list. Which is very important.

That’s why I said rankings matter, but Mario has been here a week and a half. Anything he accomplishes other than the previously committed kids is a miracle People talk about adding 5 stars like we have an aTm or UGA Bama budget. When it comes to recruiting trust Mario to do the best job possible. If we get any of the guys mentioned in this thread it’s the cherry on top. 23 class is where we start really stacking chips ImO

Doesn’t really have to do with rankings, more has to do with not wasting scholarships on kids who are not UM caliber.

All of those guys have a strong interest in Miami/Mario. And now Mario has 2 more months to recruit them?? May not get all of them, sure, but I'd be surprised if we didn't land 3-4+ of these highly rated guys. I think Moss will be a tough pull from USC but we have a great shot at closing on all of them.

Im gonna celebrate it. It helps recruit other players. Don't you doubt alot of these kids watch that and its a recruiting tool. Also having more highly rated players increases your chances of having the right talent on your roster and less risk of busts and attrition candidates.
