What say you guys?

1. Gunter
2. Howard
3. Crawford
4. Burns
5. Dortch
6. Hope

I put burns at 4 because I think he will be an immediate impact guy at a thin position.

1. Gunter
2. Howard
3. Crawford
4. Hope
5. Dortch (still needs to add size)
6. Burns (CBs have trouble coming in quickly to make an impact in this scheme since it makes you think).

I like your list but still feel like Burns may end up at S, but we'll see. I would also put Dortch and Hope ahead of him for now. Kid needs to earn his stripes.

3. Crawford

2CB
2. Howard
6. Hope

Nickle
4. Burns (will play CB and may move to safety next season, but due to lack of depth he may stay at CB)

Take Burns out and move Dortch and Hope up. Burns is a baller but I want to wait and see what he can do before I put him in front of players who've been on the team.

not sure how anyone can legitimately rank these guys beyond Gunter and Howard, given the lack of playing time for the rest.

what are these rankings based on? Production at practice? high school performance? recruiting rankings?

Nothing better to do

Burns is this year's Bush. Kid is too good an athlete not to be pressing for immediate PT

Beginning:

1. Gunter
2. Howard
3. Crawford
4. Hope
5. Burns
6. Dortch

End of the year:

1. Howard
2. Gunter
3. Crawford
4. Burns
5. Dortch
6. Hope

To be fair... I really wasn't impressed with Gunter... He maid a few plays against FSU but he was also suspect within that game and a lot during the season... I'm interested in seeing how Howard plays this year.... He was adjusting to the speed of the game last year, so I'm sure he'll improve much like B.Harris did, I hope his speed improved as well... We don't need a 4.2, just be adequate... But I also agree with one of the posters sentiments towards ranking these kids... We really only seen 2 play extensively, everyone else is a toss up...

Howard
Gunter
Crawford
Burns
Dortch
Hope

Gunter has been generating buzz, but I think Howard takes a leap forward and emerges as one of the better all-around players on the defense.

I feel the same way about gunter. why is everybody overlooking crawford?? Kid is tough as nails and very fast!
Howard and Crwaford will be starters by the end of the year. Burns and Gunter will play a lot doe!

What I see when I view this group with the safety group is that we are going to be very good on special teams. (Golden coaching)
