Position Group Superlatives: Quarterbacks

Most upside for me is Williams and it isn't even close.

Perry loves to run and doesn't look downfield prior to doing so still.

He's a much better runner....even in HS...Chk Weldons HS stats....he's also faster than Rosier & Kosi...
I've seen them. I was definitely surprised but from what I've seen in person from them both, Kosi is way more elusive. Like Lamar Jackson just without the top end speed. I'm sure it's neck and neck in regards to straight line speed though.

He is....@Brooklyndee has said that Weldon is a sleeper....that off-field nonsense and Pink eye certainly didn't help....

Weldon has a poor mans mayfield ( not saying he’s him ) feel to him.

Does everything well and has a moxy to his game. He has wheels to to go with that and being a coaches son helps. I really wish he’d been around for spring , very intriguing prospect . Him being a little bit of a knuckle head will be his biggest issue. That and sticking his head in bad vaginas.

Where is the Perry is a runner narrative coming from? He may be the slowest of the 4 QBs.

He didn’t look slow at all in the spring game and looked pretty dynamic and elusive . I know he didn’t run a lot in highschool but that didn’t mean he wasn’t able to run

Sleeper. Just didnt think he fit in the mvp, biggest upside or most to prove categories. Think you can make the case for him in regards to the most intriguing but when he didn't play in spring it made it difficult.

After the rewind series I appreciate cades game. He was the last one broken down. He's got some moxy. Only thing concerning is that I didnt see that next level arm at times. In comparison to all of the major 4 QBs on the roster he would have to rate on the lower rungs of that ladder in terms of arm prowess.

But arm strength is not a definitive attribute for success (Cough cough jamarcus Russell) I'm glad richt has praised him. That's good for depth purposes. But ultimately fast forward to now and the book is still out because there isn't a strong body of work to compare to.

I really wish he participated in spring.

You have to mention Cade. Sleeper is a fine category to use. He could very easily end up starting games for us at some point.

My bad for forgetting to say great write up otherwise.

You eventually need to stay on or you are just a hazard light.

Now THAT’S Canes Insight. Art in letters.

You have a gift my friend.

Perry may, from a factual, 40 or 100 yard dash time standpoint, be the slowest of the QB's, but we're not talking Brad Kaaya/Peyton Manning slow here for any of these guys, they are all above average "runners". Perry is, from what I have seen, and based on consensus, clearly the "slippery-est" runner. He just seems to find yards and be nearly impossible to bring down, or get a good solid hit on. From where I was watching the spring game, that is Perry's greatest attribute, his running ability. Without it, he would have barely moved the chains at all during the spring game. Williams, on the other hand, looked far more competent as a "quarterback", still has good running ability, but just isn't quite as elusive.

It's like in the old EA NCAA football game, Williams might have an 87 in speed, while Perry might be an 85 in speed rating, but Perry's Agility and Acceleration ratings would be 90, while Williams would be more like 80. And yes, I was completely addicted to that game.

And if Rosier plays well against LSU? Will ‘live scrimmage’ play against scrubs still be the determining factor to select a starter against UNC?

If Rosier looks like he's progressed in fall practice, I'm good with him as the clear Starter even if he doesn't have a great game vs LSU.

But if Rosier doesn't seem to have improved, I'd like to see Perry/Williams get a shot at the starting spot by proving what they can do in actual games - and we've got 3 early games to make that happen.

Basically no matter how well Rosier does - I don't want to see Rosier play 3 quarters in those games, then bring in Perry/Williams to just hand the ball off all 4th quarter.

No disagreement here. Perry/Williams/Weldon need meaningful snaps, not garbage time.

Brad Kaaya was the last freshman quarterback who started for the University of Miami. That season was very forgettable

Golden handcuffed the paly calling in that Louisville game. It was pathetic. We had no chance to win. Wasted my Labor Day going to see that **** storm
