So the players themselves helped kill The U! Great story!! Before yall disagree, listen.. he said it himself you don’t let prisoners run the yard. You let that happen you’re on a collision course with disaster and that’s exactly what happened. Once the core guys left that could police ****, the coaches who ain’t used to running **** now had to take over. And guys still acting like they are running ****. Ain’t no order.

We made a deal with the devil to win in 2001. It paid off but it did cost us in the long run on our string of bad/mediocre coaches
Schnellenberger to Johnson to Erickson to Davis turned into
Coker to Shannon to Golden to Richt to Diaz.

A sense of complacency and entitlement infiltrated the entire program from the top down after 2001. Whenever that happens it’s a recipe for disaster. One of the things Saban did so well is he refused to let any of that seep into the cracks at Bama. All it takes is a couple weak links and it infiltrates your entire football program and starts to fester. I still believe Mario can get us there but it has to happen now.

Well imo, that LSU offense was deadly especially the passing game. They could and did score from anywhere. Their D was ok which was good enough to get that ball back to that scoring machine. All that being said, you were asking for a pick throwing into that '01 secondary, even throwing to the backs out of the backfield, you had to deal with Clark, Vilma, and CC(RIP). On offense LSU D being ok just wasn't good enough to stop Dorsey, AJ, Shockey, and the greatest set of RB, probably in history. But hey, everyone has their opinion.

As far as Miami destroying itself, we have discussed so many times over the years that's it's been ingrained in my DNA. We know the admin could give a flea **** about the FB program and made meh coaching hires. No need to go any further.
