Has anybody heard anything about him lately? Will he get on the field this year or will it be another year wasted for this talented but injury prone dlineman.

DT Curtis Porter had the appendectomy before the BC game on Sept 1st. It takes 4 to 6 weeks to recover.

Not sure if he had a regular of laparoscopy surgery or if it had ruptured before sugery,

With a regular, open incision, you usually may resume regular physical activity and go back to work after 3 to 4 weeks. If you have laparoscopy surgery, recovery is usually faster, and you may resume regular physical activity in 1 to 3 weeks.

With the amount of time he's missed, and I haven't even heard about him practicing, he must have had to have an open procedure.

Who exactly is this Curtis Porter fellow that all of you are referring to?

Is this a preferred walk on or another one of you guy's unfunny jokes like the "Sampson Doyo" one?

I never heard of Porter before.

You probably haven't heard of him because the kid is always hurt, but there is no question about it he is our most talented dlineman on our team. The kid is physical and can rush the passer. He just can't stay healthy!

Played 5 games in 2009.

1 game in 2010.

2 games in 2011.

0 so far in 2012.

Trick is, getting him on the field during FOOTBALL season.

He's kinda like the Bigfoot - scattered reports of sightings - but they never show up when you want them to.
