Figured I'd gauge our collective genius here to see who we want to start at QB week 1. I created a separate poll to gauge who you think will start. I just value your opinions that much.

Want kaaya. Just because it is the **** pic. But really just want who is going to win football games

Can't pick one blindly as I haven't watch them throughout camp for comparison. No personal preference. Want the guy who has gives us the best chance to win.

I picked Heaps, because I want to see the meltdown on here when Kaaya doesn't start. It's gonna be epic.

Ready to be renewed as a Canes fan. Let's go with Kaaya.

we dont want to ruin Kaaya. let him RS and let Heaps get destroyed out there. when F/A/G is gone next year, we can hope that the next staff is competent and that Kaaya will be handled well

I say Kaaya mainly because if he does start it means that he was the clear winner of the battle. If it's Heaps it could have been an even battle and won't give us a solid answer.

Is this any different then the Brown's going with Hoyer? Pettine said of Hoyer. "We've maintained all along that if it was close, I would prefer to go with the more experienced player." What makes this any different?

Hope it's Kaaya, but I'd be surprised if they actually picked him as the starter. Expecting it to be Heaps.

The first thing the Heaps advocates mention to support their guy is experience. But his experience at two different programs was atrocious and he's coming off a season in which he finished 128th out of 130 qualified FBS quarterbacks in passing efficiency. Not to mention that DMoney has said Kaaya is the one who has displayed more poise under pressure this summer, which isn't surprising considering Heaps' propensity to completely fall apart in the face of a pass rush at BYU and Kansas.

Starting Heaps seems like a recipe for disaster whereas starting Kaaya would at least provide the potential to show visual reason for optimism for the future as opposed to more lip service. I would expect Williams to take over as the starter once he's ready if they go with Heaps, because I don't expect Heaps to perform well enough to hang onto the job based on his past experience.

Voted for Heaps because it seems they are close in practice and theres no substitute for experience in front of hostile crowds. But I dont want to see Kaaya red****ed. Introduce him slowly and give him limited but significant playing time (not just mop uip duty). Bring him in for a series or two in the first half of games and get him ready for the future.

Heaps experience matters heaps has started over 30 college games he can't be no worse than Morris

He was considerably worse than Morris just last season, albeit at a different school. He'll have vastly improved weapons across the board, but there's a very real possibility that he'll be worse than Morris in this offense based on his past. Let's not kid ourselves here.

All his wealth of experience proves is that he was wildly ineffective and imminently replaceable at both BYU and Kansas.

Play heaps against UL and throw Kaaya in when we go up by 30 (lol) let heaps play the first quarter and a half against Arkansas st and BCC let Kaaya play the rest of those **** opponents then let heaps start Nebraska. If we identify his failures and we're losing at the half put Kaaya in the second half so he gets big game experience.

I think its smarter to go with Heaps until Williams gets back\

slap the redshirt on Kaaya and hand him the reigns next year
