Who needs a portal QB when you have a dominant defense like Miami does? Just get me a game manager that can score 25 per game and let the defense work its magic

I don't see the point of this article or the podcast. It's premature. We're 3 weeks away from the transfer portal opening. Why even speculate on who will be in the portal?

Mateer 5 TD game
25/36 375 passing yards 4 TDs
65 yards rushing , 1 TD
The “Mateer” can’t throw takes I’ve seen here and other threads are weird to me.

He’s not a bonafide 1st rounder (yet) and he certainly has flaws in his passing game but as a 1st year starter, he’s having a heck of a season.

Over the last 10 years, only 1 QB has thrown for more than 3k yards, 30 TDs, 900 rushing yards, and double digit rushing TDs.

Lamar Jackson.

This kid is on pace to be the 2nd. Crazy.

This fanbase is complaining about 9-1 with a Heisman Trophy candidate at QB, so it's safe to say that they will complain about anything. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty about this team to criticize, but you'd think this team was 4-5 with the way people are behaving.
Agreed, it’s all the coulda/shoulda B*t*hes. We should have 4losses, We could have 5 losses, JFC, We don’t. We’re 9 and GD 1 these miserable mfer’s can’t that it’s right here, in front of us. We take it or not. B***h and moan AFTER the season, but for christsake SFTFU and let the rest of us enjoy this run.🙌🏽

Remind me of what our Receiver/TE room looks like next season. Who Emory or the new Portal guy will be throwing to?

Not pretty. Horton is probably the main guy next year and then you have the 3 kids who were freshmen. For TE, I assume arroyo leaves and that leaves a huge hole. Williams, Lofton are nice but we need a field stretcher at TE so I’m guessing we’ll look in the portal for one.

I agree. What I was going to add was that I would much rather stick with Emory rather than going out of our way to get a guy like Mendoza.

yea, there isn't difference from a skill-set standpoint there.

On the other hand, i'm intrigued by Avery Johnson and what he could do in our system with another year of roster turnover and talent acquisition.

Sign a Heisman-quality talent to compete with Emory, not another game-manager.

He's a talent, but from what I've seen isn't the most accurate passer.

The criticism on Mateer is comical.

It's almost like you guys forget Ward was only a 3rd round pick out of Wazzou with major turnover issues, and some even wanted the Will Howard over him.

You're not going to find the perfect QB #1 overall pick (already) in the transfer portal. Aside from Caleb Williams situation, all other transfer qbs who were great didn't have that resume when they entered the portal (Kyler Murray, Baker, Joe Burrow, etc.).

What Mateer is doing at Wazzou this year is amazing, and you should project the step up just like Ward did.

While you guys fight about whether he is the perfect QB, a team like Oregon, Texas A&M, or Bama will take him in a second once that portal opens and he's in it.

Thank god Oregon has Moore or else they’d be a perfect fit for him.

So many people overthinking this.
