PODCAST: Manny Diaz is Miami's new Head Coach - Instant Reaction ft. D$

If you want him to hire somebody that gave his d problems then to hire anybody from his Texas days.

Who was the oc when BYU inserted **** near a thousand yards in his ***?

I think it was 535 yds.

He took all of it like a champion.

The more I think about it, the more this hire is growing on me, actually.

D Money said something that was very true - Manny is a smart ************. If he gets the OC hire right and hires an equally smart ************ to scheme up the x’s and o’s on that side of the ball, I could see this working.

We have the talent to beat Florida. If we win that game, then Diaz could go on a roll.
If he cleans house on the offense side and brings in the right young offensive mind, im in.

Thank you for listening.

So, you think Diaz keeps Brown and Dugans? You realize those guys are co-OCs, right? How is he going to manage that situation while bringing in an actual OC. Those guys would need to be willing to take a demotion and likely a pay cut.

Reality is, they both need to go. Dugans is a good recruiter but his WR's don't perform on the field. Brown is a good recruiter and RB coach, but he is a cancer in the locker room. The dude is constantly promoting race baiting nonsense on Twitter. I'm sure that spills over to his coaching too.

If Diaz wants them gone, I’m good. Plenty of candidates to replace them.

The two positions holding us back are QB and OL. We need radical change there.

Well, the guy you were pumping sunshine isn't that answer. Frank Ponce has never called plays. His mentor took him to Louisville and didn't even given him the co-OC title. Satterfield's offense is a run, run, run offense. It's not a fit. Why do you insist on pumping sunshine on whatever dumbass decisions this school makes?

What decision has been made? I said I heard Ponce’s name and that they ran the ball well. I also mentioned Applewhite. Maybe both are coming, maybe neither.

Neither of those guys are good options. Ponce is nobody. Applewhite is a fraud. We absolutely need to do better and you know. Call it like it is.

Brand new **** kicking O staff. All we can hope for. At least be entertaining and fun to watch. Attractive to Croots. Hopefully wins will follow.

Our offensive staff needed a total cleanse no matter which coach was appointed as Richt's successor.

If Diaz retains Brown/Dugans/Hartley and Frank f***ing Ponce represents the biggest change to the offensive staff, then this would only be described as a "splash hire" if we're talking about a deuce dropping into a toilet.

Our offense and the entire state of recruiting were irreparably broken before Richt walked away. We'll see pretty quickly whether there's an attempt at drastic changes or more of an emphasis on continuity. Find a savage OC and let them bring in their guys.

Keep Hartley because of his recruiting. Dugans, Jon Richt, Brown and Searles all must go.

And bring an entire new S&C staff!

I don’t always agree with @DMoney, and I’m not thrilled with the Manny hire, but I find your “call it like it is” command hilarious.

What you mean is “call it by having the same exact opinion I do”

Don’t be an assclown. He’s calling it like HE sees it...and I’m glad he is.

I not a hysterical menstruating female like most of the posters here, so I hope @DMoney is right and I’m wrong about Manny.

Nothing to do but go to the games and hope Manny works out.

DMoney and I discuss Miami's hire of Manny Diaz as the new head man in Coral Gables, the fallout of Mark Richt's departure, and how the future sets up for the 2019 season. Also, the pair analyzes the potential next moves in terms of coaching staff and personnel, including some insider tidbits of rumblings around Hecht.

Usual fluff piece
