Zero excuse for not winning 10 games and the Coastal.

There will be idiots on this board who will have excuses built in and ready to go but the fact is that relatively speaking, our schedule is dog **** this year.

Let's make last year the last time we DON'T win 10 games. Full speed ahead.

This.

It truly is an embarrassing schedule. I know there's 8 games on there we can't control, I get that. So I'm not putting it entirely on UM. But the fact of how downright terrible our side of the conference is, plus the non-FSU cross over game is vs Syracuse who is probably the worst team in the Atlantic, and then adding in B-CC, Arkansas State, and Toledo........barring some incredible injuries, anything less than 10-2 is a colossal disappointment and anything less than winning this division for the first time is an even bigger disappointment.

We can't even cry about the scheduling anymore. Yes, we have to go to Tallahassee. Won't be easy. But VT has to play Clemson (in Lane, but whatever. Better than most years). UNC has to play Louisville. GT has to play Clemson every year and this year it's in Death Valley. Duke has to play FSU also. The only one who avoids the "Big 3" is Pitt, but they do have to play NC State who should be a pretty good team this year. And let's be real, if we can't beat Pitt for the division, we deserve all the embarrassment we'll get. Plus, if it really does come down to Miami and Pitt, that last game of the year will allow us to decide it on the field.

11-1 really should be the lowest we're all willing to accept, but with a green QB and still some depth issues, I can live with 10-2 as long as those 2 losses don't prevent us from getting to Charlotte. No more than 2 losses and a December trip to Charlotte should be the bare minimum for this roster and staff matched up with the diarrhea that is the ACC Coastal.

God DMoney I love the absolute disregard you have for programs such as FSU, UF, Clemson etc. Miami is the ultimate iconic program. All of those pale in comparison.

My fiancee went to FSU. She made a bit of a face when she walked into the room and DMoney was on one of his signature rants about the brand illegitimacy of our northern neighbors. I smiled a bit and didn't say another word about it.

Stick it in her *** while you throw up the :neonu:

Kinda like D$ and Pete did to the rest of FL on the podcast

Reminds me of the 2000 season.

I don't see it. Dorsey had JJ,Najeh,Portis, & I think Gore to hand it off to...and a WR corp featuring Moss,Wayne, & an emerging Shockey. Sorry, but while this O has some talent, it's not 2K caliber as far as talent & experience is concerned. Defensively, I'd say this D is more talented than 2K.

Obviously, the skilled positions were veteran and much deeper. Jackson and Portis at tailback was one heck of a one-two punch. Davenport was never the same after the knee injury at least with explosiveness. That's why he was exclusive at fullback in 2001. Gore didn't show until 2001. We're riding on Walton and he'll be every bit as good JJ was this year, probably a lot better. We'll see if Homer can give us some valuable reps. Moss and Wayne were obviously unbelievable veterans, but our third receiver was King. Richards might end up being as good as any kid we've ever had at the position and that is saying a lot. We will see who emerges. I'm willing to bet Herndon is more productive at the position this year more Shockley was in 2000. He was more productive last year and he was sharing catches with Njoku. Herndon will get 40+ balls. Bank on it.
