Is Metro Diner a chain? My parents live and Jacksonville and they love that place but with the name I thought it was a family owned spot.

That’s my joint… not as good since they sold out though. The original owner owns a sport/trading card shop in jax now, house of cards or something like that.

Same thing happened years ago with Sonny’s. When Sonny sold out it became trash. Nothing tastes the same , it’s like fast food BBQ.

The challah bread French toasts curls my toes

way back when there was a deli in downtown called brickell emporium (near dolores/lolita and the old perricones) that had FIRE challah french toast.

Visited several times back in the day when visiting the campus for homecoming or a football game … they had an Asher and a Little Asher or something like that. Solid bfast after a long night out.
