players who take the next step in 2014

Duke Johnson. Next year, true Heisman candidate as long as our QB play is semi-decent. Gotta keep em honest and win games to be considered.

Our entire offense changed after his injury. So many times a RB comes out of the backfield and catches a ball that would be a massive gain and it ends up being 10-20 yrds instead of 50+ or a TD. After watching him last few years I realized how spoiled I was. I love D Crawford, but he just isnt as explosive as Duke. You can't teach or train that type of burst.

We need a bigger back to step up so Duke isn't running into a wall on 3rd and 2 getting blasted.

For me its Jelani Hamilton. Its time for him to become a dominant D tackle. Next year will be his 3rd year in the program. It should be his time.
 
this was basically kirbys freshman year. he was injured in camp and seen very little action towards end of freshman year.

benefit of the doubt type guy at this point, needs to take a giant step up as he will be needed and counted on in all likelihood.

Well he's not gonna go from never seeing the field to dominant , IMO. I would take solid contributor from him at this point.
