So just say it about Golden then. Don't use a picture where a player had a season ending injury and say "Mike Leach would have locked his *** in the closet for getting hurt."

Once you do that, you include a player, which you say you are not writing about. It's a stupid fkn statement.

They take after their micromanaging coaches.

But deep down I'm quite convinced that Shalala is where the blame lies for sucking the life out of the football program on the field.

Defense is all about attitude. You can be slow and not cover a WR, but if you hit the sucker in the mouth and slit his lip when you do get there, he will be looking for you next time and not the ball. I hate OSU but hit them in the mouth has served them well. Ole St Bobby used to love getting a couple flags for late hits on QBs. We give up 10 and 15 yards gashes all the time. It would be better to have that be a personal foul and leave some of the other guys blood on the tuff. Did Vanover ever do anything after Barrow planted him? Larry Fitzgerald catch anymore passes after ST slit his mouth open? Bring pain or get pain, that is football.

Mike Leach would kick your rear for saying that. Hard does not mean inhuman. Malcolm is hugging Golden; it is ok for players to love and trust their coach. It is the attitude about the opponents that needs work. Our team does need to get nasty, but we are and have been a family. Hound slacking and failure to deliver of your family members all you want, but when their bones are not in the right place anymore, it time to be a slightly different kind of man. Golden might never deliver what we all want. He might actually suck as a coach. He might get fired mid-season this year. That photo might be Golden's greatest moment as a coach, but my WHAT A MOMENT! How many of us have anything like it? Man's defense sucks, but he is one **** of a man.
 
I love people wanting to have attitude or "swagger."

Swagger = Jumping on the Louisville Logo before getting our asses handed to us.
Swagger = Getting in an on field brawl against a worthless intra-city opponent.
Swagger = Making a rap song while the team constantly under performs.

Exactly TheEye..... Swagger is so played out. Once Swagger got abbreviated to "Swag"....... it was done; over with !!! It doesn't mean anything anymore. Swagger meant something when people had to come up with a name for UM's attitude and style of play. If you have to tell people you have swagger, you don't really "have it." The NCAA penalizes for swagger in today's game, anyway.
