Lowe is interesting bc if you look at his highlights, he's taking 3s well beyond the 3 point line. So perhaps his shot selection is is the main issue, but his form and range don't look bad on tape. I honestly cannot comment on the full picture bc I didn't watch pitt play at all. But I see his freshman shooting was much better (when he didn't have the freedom to do what he wants bc Bud Carrington was the main ball handler). The spacing of that potential roster makes me sick. Lowe is a sub 30% shooter, he’s not inconsistent, at this point he’s just been a bad shooter.
What makes you say Green would be a “very good” shooter? He’s like 33% for his career. Yes, he was better this past year but it was in 9 games on a tiny sample size.
Yeah I’d agree, I haven’t dove into Pitt games but just from the Portal highlights YouTube vid, he has decent to good form. He also looks comfortable in PnR, there were a few clips of him snaking the screen and getting to the paint fairly easily. Both of those things should lead to higher percentages, which I’d also assume means the shot selection is not great. Again, this off a very cursory look.Lowe is interesting bc if you look at his highlights, he's taking 3s well beyond the 3 point line. Green, I thought i read somewhere he was a good and electric shooter. You're right the %s don't match that premise. But I would definitely prefer an upgrade over Green.
This is what I think the realistic lineup is looking like right now based on news we've received. This is far from my ideal lineup lol
Question for you, what guard players in the portal are much better shooters than these guys that we have a legit shot with?
