Good, reliable win. Could have played better at times but the offense didn't look constipated like it did in Hawaii, just a little sloppy. Seems like the game plan was to feed Huell early and often, but when that didn't work at all it took some time to adjust. AMP needs to be good for this team to be special. He can be such a mismatch. Loved L starting Lonnie in the 2nd half. He is one of our best 5 and served as a wake up call to DJ.

The Good:

- 8-9 from FT
- 8 Blocks and 8 Steals
- Held a bottom tiered team in the ACC to 53 points on the road
- Newton had 11 Points (5-7 FG), 4 Assists, 3 Rebounds and 2 Steals (I will take that every game)

The Bad:

- 15 TOs
- DJ went 1-5 from 3PT
- Miller is atrocious and plays like a tremendous ******

I think we know who will finish in the bottom 3 of the ACC this year. GT is really bad too. These are gimmes even on the road.

Why exactly does DJ need a wakeup call.? He didnt play great today but he has the whole season. Are you an ***** or what?

DJ-Walker combo 3-14, 1-7 from three point arc today.

We can't crack 70 points against decent teams. 60 has even been a challenge. Meanwhile, UNC, Duke, VT and FSU put up 90s regularly. Something's gotta give when we play them.

My internet crapped out at the end.

Pitt is truly awful without Luther. They have zero legitimate bigs other than him.

Losing Marcus Carr highlighted how one dimensional they are.

Newton had a good game as did Amp. BB is BB. Huell had decent looks in the first half but couldn't make the baskets.

Miller lulz.

We're a very balanced and deep team even if we are still finding our way offensively.

Bring on GT.

What's the rationale against playing Izundu and Huell together more often?

Also, although I agree with Lonnie's season being disappointing thus far, he's giving good effort on defense. Like all frosh, he has a lot to learn on D, but at least he's working hard. He's not letting the missed shots affect his intensity, which is good to see.

He needed a wake up call in this particular game because he was playing like absolute *** in the first half. It happens, and it worked as he played much better in the second half.

Think he keeps Huell and Izundu separate because there is no depth for our bigs. If they play together and each pick up quick fouls we're sending Miller out there.
