They're not good. I don't think they're as bad as last year, when they went 4-14 in the ACC and we beat them 72-46 in Pittsburgh and it would have been by 40 if Coach L wasn't nice. ACC road games are tough, and we're not playing well now, but it would be nice to start ACC play with a win.

They're 8-5 now. They have zero good wins, or even decent wins (UC-Santa Barbara, Lehigh, High Point, Duquesne, Mount St. Mary's, McNeese State, Delaware State, Towson). We have one common opponent, Navy. We beat Navy by 34. They lost to Navy by 9. Their other losses are to 7-4 Montana by 5 in OT, 10-3 Penn State by 31, 10-2 Oklahoma State (who beat FSU) by 6, and #7 WVU by 9.

Unfortunately, hard to say we are much better right now. Need desperately to stop with the stupid unforced turnovers.

I think we're better, but it doesn't mean we'll win.

If Ryan Luther is out, they’re even worse. Not sure if he is going to play but he averages a double double.

The two games against Pitt this year might be one of the only gimme games we have in the ACC this year

Luther is more than likely out, as it was at least a two week timetable on his return mid December.

Pitt also lost to Navy and was blown out by Penn State with Luther playing. In their OOC schedule since losing to Okie State, they've won 7 of the past 8, albeit vs questionable opponents, discounting the loss vs WVU.

Full of a cast of new characters, and with or without Luther, Pitt is a team that plays primarily with 4 guards on the floor. Neither of their trio of remaining big men are much of a threat at either end; Terrell Brown should probably be starting over Illegomah, but that's not not saying much.

JUCO JR G Jared Wilson-Frame (12.8 ppg) and FR G sensation Marcus Carr (11.8 ppg) are capable of big games. Still, no Luther means this game should be significantly easier, especially on the glass where we really should prevail.

I think Pitt would have had a chance with Luther and without us losing to NMSU. Call it a hunch, as it would have been one of those games. However, the absent Luther makes an average team worse and the NMSU loss gets that questionable loss out of the way.

We roll.

It's tough to win ACC road games. This is one of if not the easiest road game to win for the year. Gotta take care of business and get the W.
