Not trying to dispute Dee's info here but the situation doesn't make a whole lot of sense. If Diaz is telling a former player and possibly others that Enos will be fired it is hard to believe that Enos is totally in the dark about the status of his employment. If he is aware of his pending termination, how could he be on the recruiting trail trying to convince recruits to come to a place he is leaving instead of a new place he is going to be coaching at? Does that make sense?
Maybe there will be some changes to the offense. But doesn't look like Enos firing is one of those changes. At least for now.

That's what he gets paid to do, until he's off the payroll he will continue to do so
 
Manny tells Enos it’s not working out, we are going in a different direction but paying 80% of your remaining contract, just play the part until Dec 27

Enos could either say F off and risk a lower payout or play along, talk to a couple recruits and go interview for his next gig

Thats not how it works. You cant keep someone on your staff like that. It would be too poisonous.
