Can you confirm what's going on with his recruitment? Are we really giving him more love now? Give Donnell a call......

Last I heard from about a week ago was the same situation of him not having an offer and the staff still evaluating the situation. Things might have changed, but I haven't been able to confirm it. Working on it

Who'd you talk to, Pete?

Was it Coley and does he seem to have legit interest in Miami?

So are the concerns about him simply that he's a primadonna, or are there more serious issues regarding Coley? If the kid simply has an attitude you bring him and see if he can make it through the program, if there are bigger concerns, I don't feel like he's worth the trouble.

His recruitment might go down as one of the more complicated in recent memory.

One thing i continue to hear about him is he similar to Aldarius Johnson with the Primadonna attitude. Aldarius was never able to be "de-recruited." He spent most of career at UM with the "5 star" mindset.

I would love to see him land here to see how this coaching staff handles that type of recruit. If they can, then we can get back to the epitome of college football recruiting.

Donnell Bennett did an interview with Inside The U about 5 months ago stating Coley had a Miami offer.

I get what you're saying from a mindset standpoint but Aldarius was slow, was a bad route runner and had a horrible work ethic

Definitley think Coley is a better prospect, but is he worth the headache. Golden is already stating publicly that the coaches have had to do too much babysitting this year, do we want to bring in kids that may need their hands held to make sure they're doing the right things?

I feel like a program can afford to take a risk on 1-2 kids per year, it's tough in a small class though, does Coley's talent warrant the risk?

Coley's talent is worth the risk. When your program isnt relevant, u cant afford to be picky with talent. Coley is just as much a must get as Thomas is.

Thats where I disagree. No talent is worth the risk if the attitude isnt right. If that "bad apple" is the one thats making the plays, then its percieved that those actions are permitted. Taking chances on players with questionable work ethics and playing them was Coker's demise. If he cant prove that he can at least start making adjustments to his attitude now, they dont waste the scholly.

It will hurt us a lot more if he comes here, does nothing on the field and gets kicked out. Thats what happened to us with Storm Johnson. We went after him instead of Gio Bernard.
