Peter -- Quincy Wilson

to be honest i dont even remember a chad wilson. name doesnt ring a bell.

Yeah he played in the early 90's when Erickson was the coach so it's been a little while. From what everyone says though Chad is still involved with the team and coaches and it's a no-brainer that he wants his son to be a Cane. I guess that's why some people (including me) are a little miffed that he doesn't have an offer especially when Quincy was one of the real camp standouts competing against seniors earlier this year.

He's only a 2014 kid, there is plenty of time, we shouldn't worry about him at all for all the reason listed, he's a legacy, he attends U-school, etc.

He just camped at Ohio State on Friday and got an offer from Urban Meyer right away. Then he camps with his hometown Hurricanes and doesnt get an offer... I understand why he feels the way he feels.

Well, it's normal to see OOS offers come in before local offers, but still...

The fact that you understand the way he feels doesn't make the way he feels any less female-shouldered.

Be a big boy. Work hard. You'll get what's coming to you. I understand, especially for young kids, that the hype is easy to succumb to, and that it's easy to think you're God's gift to football. But he's just another kid. Perhaps a very talented kid, but if *cliche* he really wants to be at Miami, it shouldn't matter when he gets the offer, only that he does get the offer. */cliche* And if he's as good as everyone says, and he seems to beleive, then he should be getting offered soon, if the coaches feel the same way.

If this were his senior year, I'd be less fired-up. But the kid hasn't even played his ******* junior season yet.

Exactly, we haven't even gotten to summer practice with the 2013 class, there is plenty of time for these kids to be this concerned, we'll be fine. The 2014 class will be filled with some highly sought after kids, Sony, Litton, Darling, Rudolph just off the top of my head.

He also has a offer from LSU and it's not like he's some scrub that's only offers are from South Dakota state and UCF.

You must spread some reputation around before giving it to Biscuits again.

Wilson looks like a baller. I would imagine that his cry will be heard and that our coaches will pay him a visit. Recruiting is very much about stroking egos, no matter how inane it might seem to the rest of us. Any time a player wants to know where they stand with our program, all they have to do is ask. I can't count how many times I've heard that Coach Golden is open and straight forward about where players stand. Unless there is an extenuating circumstance that I'm not aware of I would expect Wilson to be a Cane.

This....Wilson will get a fair evaluation and an honest assessment as to where he stands. I would think this is more of a case of twisted words/comments than anything else.

I think Chad Wilson used to post / lurk on Grassy.

Would be kinda neat though to maybe have #52 and #6's kids both playing as teammates like their dads.

I agree with a lot of the comments here, but it hes worthy of an offer from OSU and LSU, kid should have an offer from us by now......even for the simple fact that we dont want to give either of the OOS schools any kind of edge.

All offers for 2014 kids are nothing but verbals anyway. Kid needs to quit crying.

With *** as the head coach at Taint, I would be careful about using them as a good benchmark for talent. He had a lot of misses at UF. Miles is a terrible game-day coach, but he does know how to recruit. He's a better barometer. But again, as the other posters have said, Wilson is a 2014 recruit.

The only "concern" I have is the fact that Wilson has all these things pointing in his favor (stud, legacy, etc), and, from the outside looking in, it seems that the staff may have a false sense of security as it relates to Wilson's recruitment. Ultimately I feel Wilson will be a Cane, but I think this was a shot across the bow, warning AG and co. to not take his recruitment for granted. I realize the sense of entitlement some of these elite players have, but if you want to win the game, you must first play the game. Legacy does not equal an automatic commitment just like legacy does not, or at least should not equal an automatic offer. The moment one side forgets that, is the moment people's feelings start getting hurt. With that said, AG and co. have not let us down yet, so let's wait and see what happens.

Golden seems to wait longer to offer players...and he has to consider scholarship limitations. I am not worried
