I was referring to another poster who said he looked better than the higher rated giys we r after which i think is retarded. I know 5 stars r likely better

They must have some sort of plan that we all can't see at WR. Either Smith is a lock or there are other names they aren't telling anyone about.

Receiver recruiting has been very weird. Smith's recruiting has been so quiet and everyone has him locked to Bama at this point, yet the staff has a quiet confidence about him.

I just don't see it. I don't see how either side thinks they're so confident on him.

Wr and dbs are big time diva positions and when they get to the league they get hella exposure like Odel (who didnt do **** at lsu)

I'll be honest, most of these films start to look the same to me. That said, I can't see how people think this kid's slow. Only time I saw him run down from behind he got tackled into the endzone, and he was regularly running away from defenders. Obviously you don't pick him over Jeudy/Smith, but I don't see anything on that film that tells me we shouldn't offer the kid. If the staff has seen him and aren't interested fine, but he looks plenty good enough to me.

Agree that we stay after the big dogs, but it's stupid not to have a backup plan. Confidence is all good, but if we don't get the plan A guys, we still need somebody. One of ag's problems was that he didn't land plan A, then had to scramble for plan B because he didn't have anyone lined up.

Just because you don't know who they are evaluating/quietly pursuing doesn't mean we don't have a backup plan.

My guess is they're looking at a JUCO guy we don't know about. There's always some freakish JUCO WRs out there every year.

I was just mentioning that you don't ignore kids like this because you think you're getting better kids. You go after the best AND the 2nd best. I assumed the, unlike al, staff has a good reason to not want this kid and some other plan B guys lined up.
