Pete...Caleb Brantley just decommited...

Negged for having uf friends.

Is it a problem there are people I grew up with who I don't like merely for the fact they are Gaytor fans or attended UFag?

Not only is it not a problem. You should have a parade in your honor.

I made the ridiculous decision to transfer there and graduate undergrad from that school. I'd be happy to have both of you punch me in the face because of it.

I'm gonna act like I never read that.

Went to UM on a full ride out of HS, but kind of regretted passing up the schools I had gotten into and the chance to "get away." At that point, I wasn't going to get the same scholarships to those schools, and I'd literally be given money to go to UF, so I decided to go there with some friends. Actually, this website probably exists because D$'s wife and my ex were roommates in college. I'd nominate myself as the biggest UF hater in the history of residents of Gainesville.

Business. Its just business.

Well kevin patrick is looking for work and I think jethro may be heading elsewhere to the nfl.

same deal for me man. Bright futures basically made it so you were paid to go to UF. There were a ton of Canes in Canesville. In 2002, for McGahee's coming out party, we had a block of 50 UF students that were Canes fans for the game. A bunch of us banded together and it was probably the single best day I ever had in that dump. Being so up close and personal with annoying Gator fans leads you to have a special brand of hate for them

That's awesome! I camped at UF my junior year in high school & had the displeasure of meeting Spurrier. I camped for Golf not Football just to clear lol. Knew the minute I met that d-bag I wouldn't like it there.

I went to school there for a time when Spurrier was the star QB. Went to a number of games, more because of my fraternity brothers and whoever my date was. Just an interesting spectator. Have to admit the guy was unreal as a QB. Unstoppable passing attack. Keep in mind that he tutored our guy Fisch, who is a Gator.

Otherwise, I have always hated them, and always will.

This is why I try and stay away from recruiting as much as possible; I'll come in here and send some info to the board once in awhile but god **** these kids man. I think he just recommitted tonight but at this point "committed" doesn't mean **** anymore.

Recruting websites have really done a number on the whole process.

Where is Crescent City? do we ever get anybody out of Crescent City?

North East Florida, basically its in a rural place where we don't do well at all. Big time Gator country. James Scott the DB we got about a dozen years ago was from there. Last and only kid I can think of personally.

Family friend lived across the street from the swamp and would fly a big Canes flag outside of his house every Saturday and just talk **** to people

From ESPN insider

Brantley, the No. 5 defensive tackle in the country, said he decommitted for personal reasons.

"To me I was solid up until this week, when I had some personal problems so then I decommitted," Brantley said. "There are a bunch of personal reasons and some stuff I need to clear up with Florida, but I'm probably going to take visits to LSU, Alabama and Oklahoma."

"Bama hit me up last night, Oklahoma called me today," he said. "I talked to LSU, like, 20 minutes after I decommitted. I've never been to another school other than Florida and Florida State, so it's going to be different. I don't know nothing about all these schools, man. I'm going to check them out, but like I said I've never been anywhere but Florida and Florida State."

"Florida is definitely still in it for me," he said. "They have been calling me and everything like that, but I haven't picked up the phone for nobody. All the other coaches have been calling me through other players' phones. I haven't really been on my phone."

When asked whether he has talked to other Florida commitments about his decision, Brantley's answer was short and simple.

"Not really," he said. "Sometimes you've got to be selfish."
