I think it’s more b/c there are a ton of local top notch dbs who want in more so than we’re going to a 4-2-5. Stock up on local kids when there are that many top ones who want to come

No need to switch schemes or run something completely different 4-2-5. Just a matter of switching out Mccloud for a safety or rover. Of course this is only if our slb's can't cover the slots and if we recruit safeties that can handle slb responsibilities on occasion.

Joyner is Miami’s only linebacker commit of the class and it seems like it is going to stay that way. It is something that played into his decision.

I mentioned this on the podcast last week, but as of right now the staff is not sure how serious Gainer is about them. He kind of exposed himself with the coaches the first time around and they don’t want to get played again. They have only wanted one linebacker in this class the whole time, but they will probably kick the tires with Gainer and see what’s up.

Why not kick the tires on the Deerfield one . U mentioned he has nfl all over him

No sir. That kid's a head case. You take Amari. He's a natural born leader which is EXACTLY what this team needs at LB. Every great UM defense has an outspoken LB. If and it's a big IF, Gainer can be all in and be passionate as a CANE then you take him no matter what. The kid grew up in Tally but he's got swag. Sometimes it takes kids longer than others to realize where they belong. It's not easy leaving home. His twitter name is Amari Ferrari. There ain't Ferrari's in Tally. They are in Miami.

Thinking he was going more along the lines of Ole Miss players being able to transfer and not sit a year and play right away. Go after some of their linemen.

We definitely need a thumper, Joyner is more of a OLB with his size BUT like I said before maybe the staff might be using old man George as a possible LB as well, he's 6'2" 240+lbs!!
