Asking cause I don't know the rules on this. Could some of these guys have held off on their official visits during the season to focus on their teams and they want to take them early 2018? Maybe you can't take your visits if you have signed? Other than that, I can think of no other reason to not sign early if you are committed. Like you said, Nesta can still take part in the signing day ceremony at his school despite signing early

Taking part in a signing ceremony where you've already signed isn't the real deal.

I've already done this but now I'm doing it for pretend.....

I have the same thoughts on this matter. As another poster said, if they aren't signing early they must still be looking. Again, makes absolutely no sense to me why you would be committed to a school but wait til the very last minute to sign. The only reason I could think of would be waiting to see if anyone moves around or to get a last minute offer they are holding out for. Imo, if you are hoping for an offer that you don't have yet you shouldnt be committed anywhere.

One thing this early signing period is going to do is cut out a lot of the BS with some of these kids and to me it finally puts the leverage back in the schools hands cause if your a commit and don’t sign then coaches can go fill your spot figuring again” if you ain’t signing you must be looking.If you’re looking we’re looking”...

A lot of kids ALL OVER Gonna play themselves out of spots trying to be cool and “play the game”.

Times have changed ,the schools now hold the upper hand
