Pat Surtain Sr at Paradise

Retarded mindset from the typical peasants in this thread on full display.

If Rumph made this move, kudos to him. What happened at AH last year was just business, nothing personal and better to keep your enemies or relationships you need to improve close at bay!

Everything is personal. Nesta was best recruit of the bunch and if we could just have one he was my pick. Still, Heritage feels like U school a couple years ago -- we get no body. I say we announce that any kid who plays one down there NEVER get an offer from Miami. Lets see who "their" recruiting goes then. You think kids would give up any shot a offer from Miami just to suit up at Heritage?

Let's not burn our bridges. If Sertain doesn't play right away who knows maybe he'll want to transfer
have you never heard richt talk? he has literally said he's laughed in kids faces for trying to transfer after they turned um down.

Understandable it's an unusual or awkward circumstance seeing as his kid plays for Alabama and that wound is still fresh, but please don't kid yourself, it's a relationship that we need to maintain. He's a coach at a school that produces a boatload of talent that we are consistently going to be recruiting. That's not the guy you make an enemy. It's our job to convince him that his players are as good if not better for coming here as anywhere else.

PS-. His son is still a ****.

True but even if Richt has to turn down a transfer he can tell future recruits about it and it can help in future battles

That's a great sign that surtain is here, how many of you think he wanted his son to go to Bama and not Miami. Why you think surtain jr. was crying, no matter what surtain sr. like a lot of pro players grew up Loving UM, so alot of them when they get a chance want to come by and see alot of the players that helped to make Miami great. This shows the coaches at UM are not petty, and im sure surtain sr. himself will be impressed, you got hall of fame players coaching, guys who played some of the best football at their positions, so of course surtain is here. His son, along with campbell had a chance to be apart of this Miami/UM Brotherhood, they chose elsewhere and good for them but we straight over here with frierson, ivey, bethel and jr. Blades, and that's the difference right their, bennie Blades gets to coach and talk to his nephew at this paradise camp in this setting. The Blades name is UM royalty, of course irvin was coming, his son is here and ready to ball out his junior year. That's the beauty of UM, its a l so family by Blood cause the Blood lines are steadily coming thru.

One step less retarded than having Choad Wilson on campus the year after his kid picked Florida

Pat Surtain Sr is supposedly complementary of the staff. No reason not to host him.

Doubt it's completely on him that his son wanted to go pick at the Saban Plantation.

I get the wisdom of not burning bridges, but it sure sucks that HS coaches can freeze Miami out when they want but we have to play nice. Our staff sucks up to these guys and when it doesn't pay off they can't say anything. Fine, that's fair but what about when they don't like the amount of attention we show one of their kids? Then it's straight to the media to complain.

His Mom wanted him at Miami, Pat Sr interviewed for the DB Coach job at Bama, but wasn't hired.

Supposedly interviewed for the DB job at Alabama. That’s the official line.

The only thing we know for sure is he was alone with Saban in his office for about an hour. Neither one is ***, and nobody ever actually thought that he was getting hired there as a DB coach, not even Surtain himself.

Do the math.

Yeah, mom supposedly, reportedly, allegedly, in rumor alone wanted him close to home. Dad however was sold by Saban. All this "my son's decision" stuff is cute, but if Sr was sold on Miami his kid wouldn't have been such a groupie and probably been here.

I swear some of yall are dumb as ****.

Pat Sr. also said it was his sons decision and he truly wanted his son to make his decision on his own. Family wanted him at Miami so he can be close.

He choose to go to the defending National Champs.

Now lets finally put the **** hatch to bed. It's obvious the coaches moved on. And Chad Wilson is not even at AH anymore to bash Miami to their top players.
