Parker and Dyer

How many starters are they returning on the OL?

I don't think they lost anyone.

They lost a guard. The center (Smith) has moved to the guard spot, and the center is a walk-on freshman.

Who did they lose?

They played musical chairs with line. That guard spot was never really solidified. Kamran Joyer started most of the year, and has graduated. Chis Acosta started in the RAB. He requested a transfer. They gave his scholly to the walk-on (Hughley). He then came back, and is now #3 at left guard.

And here comes the D'Onofrio sucks brigade!

Can't will argee that this game is a big time test for D'Onofrio?

Year 4
First Start ever for QB
Multiple playmakers injuired for UL
Not returning best player who torched us last year

If Doritos can't hold a team like this under 500 yards the question is why is he still employed has to be asked right?

because according to AG and coach NO D its all the players fault :cigar:

Their bread and butter play for the last 3 years has been Bridgewater throwing Parker a jump ball in the corner of the end zone, because most DBs cannot do this.

I'm not sure how good Gardner has gotten at this throw. We don't have to find out now.

Missing from last years offense....

QB:Teddy Bridgewater

3970 Yards 71% 31 TDs and 4 INTs

RB:
(#3 Last Year) Michael Dyer (possibly)
223 Yards and 2 TDs

(#2 Last Year) Senorise Perry
677 Yards and 6 TDs
18 for 178 and 1 TDs (Receiving)

WRs:
(#1 Last Year) Devante Parker
55 for 885 yards and 12 TDs

(#2 Last Year) Damian Copeland
58 for 780 and 5 TDs

I get it. This does put us at a better advantage on paper, but Duke put >500 yards on us too. So the oppositions' offensive talent wasn't the primary cause of our defensive woes. A very large part of it was on our defensive capabilities and the staff's incompetence, which is still present on this team.

No Highsmith, Rodgers, Gaines, Green, Cornileus... No Morris
Addition by subtraction

bodes well for us, and I wont complain, but we gotta keep in mind this team is full of soph-jun-sen that have won a bcs bowl game and Im guessing 30 out of their last 33/34 games... TRhey're gonna bring a major fight..

Dyer is the type of physical back that has absolutely torched us in the past. Our tackling deficiencies have killed us facing guys like him. Would be huge. We basically played them without Duke and Coley last year so tough ****

I honestly, think this is why golden started Kaaya. he learned he was too loyal last year to scrubs.

If Dyer can't go their next back up is Dominique Brown ........who is 6'2 240 lbs

Not a good recipe for us in the past. Hope we don't make him look like a Heisman candidate

Everyone knows the defense sucked in the past. It's a tired and beat to death topic. If it doesn't improve dramatically, then everyone associated with the defense should get rung up. How many times and in how many preseason threads does it need to be mentioned though? If we suck again, then let's address the sucking while we're sucking.

It's been harped on enough to this point that everyone associated in any way with being a UM fan knows our defense has sucked under Al. What good does it do to keep hammering it in every thread before the season even starts?

Dyer is #2. Brown is the starter. He is more physical than Dyer, but tends to run upright. #3 is also a big physical back, who impressed in the spring. The only burner they have in the backfield is Lamb, who is at #5. I'd expect him to catch a few out of the backfield.

It gets them reps which makes them feel good about themselves
