Naw you said he needs to turn out more talent and he's on year two.

Miami fans hurt my brain.
Bruh what? Your brain is hurting because you're thinking too hard. Rousseau was a freak of nature and Jaelan was the #1 player in the country. We need better development on both sides of the ball. I don't understand how me saying that is an issue.

Another Bishop Gorman TE.

I've been lobbying for the kid for a while on the board, made a thread about him a while ago. Vegas kid but Dad's from Dade. Indoctrinated kid bleeds O&G, that's why we jump in his top 3. Stanford & UCLA have been putting the press on kid for over a year now, so for us to shoot up his list with an offer shows how much Ben loves The U. I'm rooting for the kid to set Paradise on fire, because he's the perfect kid to pursue if say, Tolan can't resist that orange & purple slide up in South Carolina...

I didn't say that they did...

Do you think these teenagers care about that or the fact that OU is in the top 10 every year? I wasn't even alive for that lol.
Hey I hear all the Irvin's too old talk but I'll add this. Those kids never saw Mike during his playing days, but I'm willing to bet that they respect accolades. Some of em might not even recognize Mike by face, but I bet you dollars to donuts that after they finish rattling off his accomplishments, he'll have their full attention. Don't let him come out to hot *** Greentree in that Gold Jacket, talking that run through a brick wall ****...

I know schools like OU are using that to negatively recruit us while they have Kyler, CeeDee, Hollywood, Hurts, etc at their BBQ.
I doubt those kids even know Dorsett, Perryman, Hankerson, Duke, Linder, Feliciano, Shaq, Chad, etc. Besides Rousseau and Phillips, we haven't had many All American candidates nor have we've been on the big stage consistently for kids to recognize our players, unless they're fans of the team, unfortunately.

Manny and the staff have to do a better job at developing players at UM.
Manny has to develop past players?

Go on…

What I’ve noticed is that Manny is bringing back a lot of current NFL players this year & that’s a brilliant idea in my opinion. Kids would love to see Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Warren Sapp, Michael Irvin but having guys we’ve recently sent to the NFL coming back is nice. Shemar Stewart getting some 1 on 1 with Phillips and having an “I’m up next” moment would be great.

You're right, it does even out.

I didn't say that Mike was a nobody. ESPN and NFLN though? Lol these kids are on the internet. If you were a recruit would you want to hang around a 20 something NFL player or a 50+ retiree regardless of location?
50yr old UM & NFL HOFer is who I'd want to Hang out with...not some unproven 20yr old kid....But Hey...thats just me...

No doubt. I wasn't trying to disrespect Mike, just giving perspective from another point of view. I actually met Mike a couple of times as a jit and didn't recognize him lol (wasn't a fan yet).

Knew this was coming. So when Manny brings players in and develops them excuses are made as to why they are good. Manny gets no credit.

OK

Facepalm

That’s a WILD list of players! Honestly I’m shocked Joaquin was invited after his comments last season lolol

2 transfers , KJ and Jalelan, returning to help at Paradise Camp speaks volumes about the state of the program.
Yup. They went from being retired from football and a non draft-able g5 player to NFL draft picks just by coming to Miami. If anybody can convince kids that Miami is the school for them if they want to play professionally, it’s those guys. Both would be working office jobs right now if not for UM.

I’ve seen this sentiment here from a few porsters. When Miami signs and develops a player, especially an under the radar guy like Rousseau, it’s luck and he was just a freak of nature. When they take a guy who had literally quit playing football and turn him into a first round pick it’s because “he was the top high school player”. Yeah, no ****. And before he transferred to Miami he was on the fast track to not being a professional football player.

It’s seemingly small details like this that can have a tremendous impact on current and future Canes. Not to mention having 4 NFL HOF’ers and a couple future ones (hopefully).
