Shemar Stewart is gonna attend paradise

CORAL GABLES - It's pretty notable that Miami's most frequent visitor this June has been the highest-rated player on the board - and that's Miami Monsignor Pace five-star defensive lineman Shemar Stewart.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder will be back at Miami on Saturday for the Hurricanes Paradise Camp. The Hurricanes have made a move with Stewart over the last few weeks and it started on the first two days of in-person and on-campus recruiting when he spent both June 1 and June 2 in Coral Gables.

Stewart also made his way back for a 7-on-7 tournament on June 13 where Pace played for a championship.

On Saturday, Stewart will be the headliner in what is a strong crop of underclassmen competing for Miami's staff and some notable alumni such as Calais Campbell, Michael Irvin, David Njoku, Travis Benjamin, Allen Hurns and others.

Earlier this month, Stewart picked up a couple of low confidence 247Sports Crystal Ball forecast in favor of Miami from southeast analyst Andrew Ivins and director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong.

But the competition will remain stiff for the versatile lineman with programs like Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, Texas A&M and others in the mix. Stewart has visited each of those programs minus the Aggies already this summer.

He draws comparisons to Kansas City Cheifs defensive lineman Chris Jones.
