Palmer and Tessitore coming to Hard Rock Saturday

Anyone will be better than Dave Pasch and Dusty Dvorachek. Those guys were awful.

Jessie Palmer is fine as long as the Gators are not involved. He's too much of a Gator honk/gasbag to be objective if the Gators are playing.

Jessie Palmer should NOT be allowed to call Gators games.

Joe Tessitore and former Gators QB Jesse Palmer are on the call for Saturday’s game against Duke.

The pair covered Miami’s wins at Florida and Louisville this season, but this will be their first trip to Hard Rock in 2024. This duo announced the Canes win over Texas A&M last season in Miami Gardens.

Palmer is a weekly partner/analyst with Tessitore, but he was absent this past weekend as he was in Europe fulfilling contractual obligations with Bachelor. Jordan Rodgers replaced Palmer.

Palmer was backup QB for the Gators in the Canes’ 37-20 Sugar Bowl win at the end of the 2000 season.

Looking fwd to hearing Joe Tessitore dramatizing this matchup:

“Manny Diaz was once the DC at Miami, a kid born in the city, whose father was mayor here. A kid who was all 305, then got to live his life long dream & became a coach here. After going 7-5 in 2021, and only 3 years as the head man, Miami ousted him for one of their own, Mario Cristobal.

Mario’s first 2 yrs were a bit of a roller coaster, but now by year 3, he has the Hurricanes primed for an ACCCG run, and potentially a CFP bid. Will Manny & his Blue Devils exact revenge? We’ll find out next: it’s The Blue Devils vs. The Hurricane live from Hard Rock!”
I read that in his too smh lmfao 💀

I don't really care as long as we don't have another game this year on the ******* ACC network.

If you have access to ESPN+, you can watch the Duke game on their alternate Geico Skycast stream with a moving overhead cam behind the QB, all the field volume (you can literally hear the players talking **** to each other), and NO announcers. Saw the Louisville game like this and will never again watch a regular broadcast if I can help it.

He called our game against the gators and couldn’t stop hyping us up.

Guess you weren't listening to the same Lousiville game as everyone else.

Tessitore just gets far too excited for my taste. He’s supposed to be the play by play guy and yet he's the one screaming at the top of his lungs, which leaves next to nothing for the analyst.

As another poster write last week, I miss the days of Keith Jackson and the like who just called the game and got excited when it was actually worth it. Not because they are trying to outdo Gus Johnson.

There will only be one Gus Johnson in this world. I do think he’s a better basketball commentator tho. March Madness was the best with him.
