PACK HARD ROCK FOR THESE KIDS

Shouldn't look half bad on TV then. One thing is for **** sure, if there's 55k+, it'll sound sold out.

That place gets real loud, real easy.
Yeah for those not making it or never been that place keeps sound in and gets rowdy. I posted before the last va tech game in 17 was deafening. I couldn’t imagine notre dame 17.

People can chime in on the DJ and whatever, but IMO having been to a lot of other stadiums, the gameday experience at Hardrock is pretty good. The roof and renovations done however many years ago it was now were game changers.

It’s actually one of the easiest stadiums to get in and out of too, pike/595/95 traffic notwithstanding.

I think they can try more gimmicks (whatever night, bla bla bla), and toy with the ticket prices to hit the sweet spot, but the bigger factors come down to the success of the team and general promotional efforts.
You had people here suggesting we build a stadium like FAU's just so we could call it our own.

Was at the "Rock" for ND in '17 and at the Orange Bowl for ND in '89 . . . the two most deafening crowds I ever heard. Was at o$u vs Michigan in '06 after Bo passed. No 1 vs No 2 and that crowd wasn't as loud as the two previous games I mentioned.

There's something about a ND game that brings out the absolute peak insanity of our fanbase more than any other opponent

It’s not the students filling the stadium

Yeah no ****.

We have the #7 team in the country and the heisman front runner, and really only 4 quality home games. There’s no reason that stadium shouldn’t be 90% full for each of those games. This fan base is all bark no bite.

I don’t blame people for not going to ball st, famu, or most games under golden/manny. But this years team is a quality product and people need to show up. It’s not like we have a 110k capacity stadium.

PSA: The school just opened up a few rows of seats in the back of Section 154. Lower bowl seats for $74 is a steal compared with the prices+fees on Stubhub.

Feels like the game against FSU when Kosi hit Brevin for that TD was up there as well

Lower bowl might be close to selling but upper deck has plenty of full rows available.

It will be much better attended than ball state though.
lower bowl is sold out- a few stray singles and a couple pairs is inconsequential. It's 75 scattered tickets available on Miami site, plus of course secondaries that are still up for sale.

upstairs has room to go (about 3k that are actually up for sale on Miami site, plus secondary) but optically, people will spread out a bit so it will seem people in all seat areas once they realize they weren't sold. Hard to tell exactly because there still could be a row or two not bing sold" but my guess is.

Capacity is 64k. Miami site showing about 3K seats available, maybe another 1000 not up (at most, you can kind of tell if you know this industry which I do to a degree). So call it 60 k sold, plus whatever is out there on secondary- StubHub has 225 listing for 2 tickets which is the most common, and includes subsets of bigger sets sold in twos. So Lets be rough and say 1000 total secondary tickets live across the platforms (remember, Miami can sell some of their tickets directly through several of these sites too so there is overlap.

I call it end of day 60k sold, between 55k-58K butts in seats.

hope walk up is great and its higher.

So the good news is the secondary market tickets have really dried up. There's not much left there. There's clearly enthusiasm and energy.

Bad news is they released a bunch of upper deck sections that they have reserved for students, so the NW corner of the stadium is likely to be pretty sparse.

Games against unranked, struggling teams prevent sell outs in 99% of college stadiums. I still think we can do much better for Va Tech on a Friday night ranked #7 but I think it's going to be a great crowd for those of us who attend games regularly. It's a shame about our schedule because if we were to play a ranked team of any kind tonight I think the stadium would explode. I think you would get your 2017 energy.

It's why a BIG10 schedule would do wonders for our attendance and enthusiasm. ACC schedules are the most mundane, boring schedules out there.

Even a@m game last year the announcers were surprised how loud jt was and it was like 40k?
