This is so cool man, I just can't get over it. My brother was born with cerebral palsy and while that's not the same situation as Carter, I understand what it's like watching a loved one fight a illness and the effects on the family. I genuinely wish your family the best and KNOW Carter is gunna beat what he has. Nothing but positive vibes your way man.

Yeah he did bring one of the TD balls to the sideline did Carter get it

The first one.

Carter goes in on Wednesday. He'll be in for at least 100 days. No more games this season sadly.

DHucks --- just want to thank you again for sharing all of this with us. It's been so refreshing to see the team rally around Carter, and even better to see the big smiles on Carter's face. Best wishes to your family, and I hope you'll keep us posted on Carter's progress. Can't wait to see him on the sidelines again next season!

I'll be praying for your family and can't wait to see him run out of the smoke next year!

If they'll have us, that is something that I really would like to have happen. There is a small chance that something could prevent Carter from ever doing anything again with the upcoming procedure. For me, to see him pull through it, and have an opportunity to actually become a Hurricane (if that is what he decides he wants to do when the time comes), that's what I'm looking forward to the most.

I just finished two months of being in and out of the hospital on Thursday, and that was the first time for me to be in that situation. Being there made me once again appreciate being healthy. The last thing a parent wants to see is their child have to be sick or suffer. I have two (6 and 3) and there's nothing I want more as a parent than for my kids to be healthy. I can't even begin to imagine what you guys are having to go through, but keep your family and friends close, try to have faith in God and pray/hope for the best. Lots of fellow fans are watching and giving up a prayer every time they see your updates.

Hucks family I always have extra tickets to any home game if you'd ever like to join us for a tailgate and a game. Your part of the fam and are always more than welcome.

Prayers to your family and Carter during his upcoming treatments.

Best wishes to Carter and the Hucks family. Kudos to all the Canes fans recognizing the situation at hand and being supportive to this young man and his family. Let's fly a banner for him!!! Some things are bigger than football.

Tell Carter that not just the team and program are behind him but the whole fan base!! God gives the hardest battles to the strongest soldiers! Keep fighting, he'll continue to be in my prayers. You are one strong father!!
