Our RB room is FILTHY

Not to put too much stock in all these ratings but PFF or somewhere had our OL at #10.

Top 10 QB, RB, WR and OL groups. Regardless of the accuracy of these things, it’s clear we have a **** good offense on paper and people recognize it.

I was about to post this. I doubt our TE group is ranked top 10 nationally, but that's every other (and more important) position group in the top 10. If these rankings are even somewhat accurate and the offensive scheme and playcalling fit, we should be expect a top 10 offense.

No, spend tens of millions and bring in a Top 10 nationally RB who has over 2000 yards of production at the P5 level, and pair him with one of the best true freshmen backs in the country (who has injury concerns, admittedly) AND the #11 composite ranked RB coming out of HS who is ready to contribute now.

I’m sorry we don’t have 3 all-American backs in the garage waiting in case 1 or 2 get hurt. The staff promises to be better.
Fletcher is not part of the room if he can't play.

So yes, we have a very solid 1.. a talented true freshman & then guys who we shouldn't be playing. If you think that is filthy, so be it. You're entitled to your opinion. I personally find the room (as is) to be a bit scary.

What about CJJr, Allen, and CWH makes you say they shouldn't be playing? I'm not saying they should be leading the Running Back room for a 10 win team. They should not. The guy we have leading that room should. But those 3 kids literally don't even belong on the team to soak up ~5 touches a game and play 20 snaps between all of them? If that's true, then the coaches need to be fired now because you can't bring in 3 backs in a 2 year period that literally can't even get on the football field.

If Fletcher is truly done, I'm pretty concerned about the room because RBs get hurt often (especially here, but that's for another thread), and if Martinez twists his ankle, it's definitely scary szn. So no Fletcher, it's obviously not the #6 room in the country. If Fletcher is 100%, it certainly can make an argument to be.

Small. Haven't shown anything. Liability in passing downs. (CWH is early to be fair)

My opinion, no. 30% of snaps. Should have better options.

You said it not me. Lol

Without Lyle we would be in trouble (if Fletcher is indeed out).

It makes a big difference bringing him in

Yeah....Jordan Lyle isn't booty juice.

6) Lamp goes back to bed

Not claiming he’s elite or anything but I see why the staff likes CWH so much. Being a small guy he looks like he has a natural ability to weave through traffic and sort of that 6th sense to running the ball

Big fan

For me until Fletcher is fully available and prove that he can stay healthy it will be Martinez (hope he is not runned until the wheels fall off) and Allen with CJ as the scatback while they bring Lyle up to speed on pass protection. I really like Allen.

I think allen is rb2, gonna have to be better in pass pro but id hope he is better there than the guys behind him. If fletch does play it will be very late in the year so im not counting on it.

Martinez should get heavy carries anyway, allen as the #2. And then we will see after the bye week if any of the young guys steal some snaps.

With Fletcher out, it’s Martinez then situational depth pieces until Lyle steps up later in the season. LAMP ain’t wrong here. We should be dominant as long as Martinez stays healthy. Without him, coaches are scrambling. He’s MVP2 after Ward.

Probably right, the drop off might be the biggest from any other important position from what we have seen…But i will say i do like ajay allen potential , would have loved for parrish to still be here too

I hope Fletcher redshirts this year. Let's get him 100% and not rush a return when we have a pretty good stablel of RBs.

Good to hear…Was a fan from day 1
Did CJ play RB for a long time? Felt like watching the two of them like CWH had played the position a lot more than him. Just had a better “feel” for it for lack of a better term
