Our last two drives

FSU will be preening peacock style come Saturday. They feel they've been crowned. Golden has those hosses playing hard for 60 minutes. Wake was a trap game. Take the points. Word.

Morris' footwork has completely broken down. He never scrambles or moves the pocket, if you get to him at all he is sucker money.

I think it has more to do with clock management than it does with not trusting morris. We were in situations the lastt wo weeks where we didn't want to leave enough time on the clock for the other team to score at the end abs the running game was producing so I think coley just went along with it

18 plays
16 rushes
2 passes (one horizontal WR screen to Waters)

That's intense.

Very similar to the Dallas Crawford flavored last drive against UNC, with a Clements twist. The way we're playing lately, to win next week in Tally we have to put drives like these together all game long. Dare I say ball control? Maybe I mean score a lot running the ball.

Playing really, really bad we dug out 2 W's the past 2 weeks. (I'm serious) just imagine what can happen if we play good.

Playing good means keep doing what we do well lately (and either shelf of re-tool what we're doing bad lately):

1) Run the ball like we're desperate right off the bat (see above chart), not the end of the game.
2) Score first. Get the lead. Keep the lead (running a la above chart). Keep scoring, stay with them.
3) It'll be faster paced, but our version of ball control with the run game.
4) Keep our D and that scary *** Jameis O off the field. See #1 & #2.
5) Mix, spread the carries, not just Duke, and that means Hagens involved too.
6) Attack Winston on D all night long, and don't go into a shell with prevent at the end.

Anyone else? Who's got the answers?

I'll tell you something else I noticed...it's pretty obvious to me that Golden put the fear of God into Morris this week in regards to the idiotic turnovers caused by forcing the ball into traffic.

I counted at least 3 or 4 times today where Morris threw the ball away early....where he could have either rolled out, stepped up in the pocket , or taken off. I even saw him do something in the 3rd quarter I haven't seen him do in a while...intentionally short hop a ball to a receiver so as to avoid a risky throw and the intentional grounding. God knows homeboy has been missing EVERYTHING high lately...so when you see a short hop it's reason to go back and take a second look.

It pretty clear to my eyes he's been clearly instructed to stop taking so many risks. We'll see how it plays out both next week and the rest of the season but I gotta think this will eventually catch up with us. When you have to alter/dumb down route combinations to basically cut down on the opportunities for a mistake it signals a much bigger problem.

It's funny...the all time Canes apologist Don Bailey Jr was trying to convince people this morning that Morris' ankle was the reason the playbook was being limited. I would argue it was being limited by one of Morris' body parts, but that body part is planted squarely above the neck. His football IQ is just a huge issue at this point.
