Shaq has absolutely no business leaving.

Shaq has played very well. The problem with him leaving early is, he doesn’t make splash plays that show up on tape like Mike does. Also he won’t test well at the combine. He is extremely smart and commands the defense, but he isn’t a 3 and out guy in my opinion. He is a 4 year starter who will make a NFL roster maybe because he plays smart.

I disagree. While most of the NFL likes the twitchy linebackers there are some NFL teams that value that true MLB thumper. He could go round 2-3 easily IMO. I however dont really think we use a true MLB and will be fine. You can tell by the guys we are recruiting that we prefer that fast twitchy linebacker

It’s a past happy league , and that’s not his strength, his only chance is in a 3/4 system. And even that’s a reach , he’ll make a team but the space in the nfl and coverage will be a test.

I’m rooting for him.

Shaq and Pinck are 5th round or later picks coming out this year, but 3rd round or better if they stay.

I like the idea of Steed and McCloud getting a shot at MLB, but go back and watch McCloud specifically on the kick coverage team from the FSU game It’s disgusting. He played great against UNC but this film is atrocious.

I agree. Perryman was taken towards the end of the 2nd round and he is leaps and bounds a better and more complete player than Shaq and I love Quarteman. My concern with Shaq is as the injuries continue to mount for him the impulse for him to jump and make the money now while he can will grow.

Out of all the underclass men on D only Joe Jackson should consider it and before this past game I thought he should come back as well.

If Shaq leaves and Jennings is our MLB next year who is Jennings backup? This is why I hate our defensive recruiting it's like Manny says were just happy with Shaq so we won't find anyone to replace him until he's a senior or able to declare. That's not how you stack chips.

Yeah, JJ's picked his game back up around the last 3 weeks or so. He's going to be gone. Having said that, we return Garvin and Rousseau along with Patchan and Joyner. If we get Harvey, Williams, Bogle and one of Weaver/Summerall, we should be straight next year for DE.
