No, they were talking to a former commit. Thanks to Golden. Your problem is with Golden, not the fans. Give it some time and you'll come around. If he never wanted to leave Miami, he should have never interviewed. Sorry, but THAT would have been showing loyalty to his team and commits. Fact is, he wanted out, wasn't offered and this is the ****storm he started because of his actions. Does that excuse these morons from what they say on social media? No, not at all. But the blame for where Valentine now stands in his recruiting process rests ENTIRELY on Golden's desire to go to PSU.
 
LSU probably employs 80% of those shell accounts.

Only slightly kidding... probably LSU fans rather than LSU employees.
 
1. if recruits make their decision based on was some random person on facebook or twitter says about them then said recruit needs to re-evaluate his decision making.

2. u don't even know who these people are. I can go make 10 random accounts pretend to be an LSU fan and talk ****. its free social media. there's no proof that the people are even real canes fans

3. EVERY fanbase has idiot people in it. its not just a Miami thing

4. should people interact with negative things with recruits on social media? no but its going to happen. making new threads everytime a "canes fan" says something dumb is pointless. recruits have the option of making their pages private, most choose not too. they like the attention. sometimes its going to be positive, sometimes its going to be negative. he can make his page private and prevent all of this

Really? You're gonna blame Golden for those above comments by "fans"? Golden deserves a lot of blame, but it's sad that dumbass fans, from your response I'm guessing you're one, disrespect kids and the U is the one that suffers!
 
We would like to think they are all trolls from rival schools, but based on the threads on this board alone, does it surprised anyone if the same posters on CIS would take their frustration to social media?
 
Do I believe the kid has handled his recruiting horribly thus far? Yes. The kid obviously does not put any weight in the word "commitment" whatsoever. But that does not merit someone getting on social media and bashing him for it. That is just childish and it certainly doesnt help our chances.
 
These "fans" don't deserve their own thread, nor the attention from people, recruits and parents alike, that survey this site... These situations hurt the U!

I'm sick and tired of hearing this ****. I went to Tulane, therefore I know firsthand about LSU fans. I laugh every time I hear someone say we have the worst fans ever. I went to Tulane-LSU baseball games, sat in the outfield at Zephyr Field in Metairie (New Orleans) and heard LSU fans yell anti-Semitic slurs at Tulane's CF. If that wasn't bad enough, when LSU's CF misplayed a ball, they turned on him. He was black. They called him the "N" word. I was shocked, but thought, ok, this was just one or two rednecks. Nope. It happened at every Tulane-LSU game I went to, football, basketball, baseball. They called their own players the "N" word over, and, over and over again. You go to an LSU tailgate and you see these all over the place

So, please go to LSU and have fun being called the "N" word the first time you mess up. SMH. But, yeah, our fans are the only ones who are "bad."
 
Golden might be the reason he decommitted, but our fans going on to his Twitter and Facebook page and saying stupid **** makes it a helluva lot harder to get him back.

Honestly, I don't know how anyone defends this fan base, which is seemingly made up of a disproportionately large number of mouth breathers whose lives suck so bad that they need to make themselves feel better by going after a 19 year old on social media.
 
This guy's such a joke of a reporter. Seriously, WTF is wrong with journalists in SoFla??? Wait, I know....THERE AREN'T ANY.

HAHAHA! You have trouble reading what I actually wrote? I said Golden is responsible for his DECOMMITMENT, which is what everyone's ****ed about. To think that fans had something to do with Valentine decommiting is laughable. OP needs some perspective, as do you.
