Agreed. We addressed key needs with serious talent. Just that dtackle position that has everybody panicked.

Wonder if they would graduate from panicked to suicidal if we didn't have 4 good to really good DT's committed, including 2 top JUCO's who've already signed.

Been following recruiting since the early 90's and it is and impressive haul.. Just found the 2000 incoming recruiting vcr tape today before youtube lol all sports used to sell them ha

Wish i had a vcr to watch it on

I use to buy those as well!!
Even called the 1-800 recruting line.
Been following recruting one way or another since Ericksons last class.
It's amazing how much it has changed.
As far as information bring available

I think OPs point was just to look at what we have and be happy. We were all ok with this class in the fall, when we said hey we have an awesome class, now we can save the last few ships and chase the big time NSD kids. Unfortunately we have missed on most of those kids but the class is still very good. It jsut gets overlooked because if seems like forever since we've seen the bat signal! I am happy with the class as a whole. We got some pass rushers, we got some good LB's we got a couple of good Qb's and even without Gibbons this is still a great OL class. We got some big WR. We got a top 3 rb in the state. We do have 3/4 DT and Moten is ranked just as high as TV. We landed two solid looking Safeties. Obviously, we would all like more playmakers and more big DT's. But if we can finish with JC I am totally happy with this class. I mean personally I owuld take 6 DT a yr until I had some that could play, it just seems like a crap shoot to recruit, form busts to kids that cant get in, to complete headcases. I mean look at Keef last yr and now TV this yr... super prima donnas that can't help themselves but eat all the attention right up....We thought Keef was bad but TV may have taken it a step further, how many schools can you commit to in a calendar yr??? lol I get that its a tough decision but dang man....

funny thing is we got most of these kids even with the sanctions over our head! I'm I happy with the complete season, heck no, but let's see what the can do with more of his players and the NCAA stuff behind him. And I'm not speaking of two to three years out. looking for more next year!!!

Pretty amazing how little props we give this staff for getting kids like this in early. We stole head hunters at lb from sec country and are getting them in. A top 5 rb has never gotten less buzz on his commitment then yearby. 2 all American offensive lineman, an all American wr who set agility records and ran 4.49 laser. Harris looks like a beast and huertelou is in too, which is huge just because well need him.

Every thread is a bash fest, but credit where credit is due. Those guys alone make a solid headline to a class for me. It's about development. Most of those ships, if not all (fuzzy on the rules) count towards last year. It's pretty awesome, definitely the most impressive early haul we've had since I started following recruiting.

Not only does yearby get disrespected but Moten is forgotten because of the TV obsession.

Your right, plus Moten played against better talent in high school and still balled out.

tv is full of crap too because he said he doesn't want to play big like miami wants. meanwhile they told courtel to get under 300 pounds. its like he throws things at the wall to hope they stick

Because the credit goes to the kids who busted their asses to do extra school work in order to graduate high school early. They're also sacrificing high school moments like walking at graduation with your classmates and prom.

Go read that thread Hurricane Glory posted about Owens taking all those online courses and did all that extra work. Al Golden didn't do that. Owens did.

Giving no credit to the staff for persuading these kids to EE is ignorant. So is not giving credit to the kids for the sacrifices and extra work, but you can't just ignore the job done by the staff

The staff who tried to bail on the class? The staff should be **** lucky the recruits didn't bail on them.

clearly it takes some work by the staff and some work by the student to be an EE in college football. Anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong.

Did any of you hear about the sun rising in the east this morning? Gotta hand it to Al Golden in making sure that happened.
