Our bye couldn't come at a better time

Hard to believe, but we are at the halfway point of the regular season and we're sitting at 6-0. Survive and advance feels like the motto, but we have 2 weeks to get a few things addressed.

Please let's get these defensive busts cleaned up. When we give up 5 plays of 50+ yards in which they are practically untouched, that feels like a schematic breakdown. I know our secondary has flaws, but you can't get out schemed that many times.

We have also been nicked up, so let's get right physically and recharged. The conditioning seems to be good, but let's give some guys a little recovery. Some, not all look like they have been playing through the fatigue. These 2 weeks are coming at the perfect time.

We have a puncher's chance in every game. I really want to see some improvements made by the time we get to Louisville. We'll know a lot more then.

I think it's less schematic and more the secondary is totally suss, and LB's bite on every misdirection, giving up the edge over and over, week after week.
 
We need to clean up these mother****ing penalties

I think the defense just is what it is at this point

Stuff like penalties and **** we can fix that

I’m not let’s Guidry off the hook because he seems to start slow but when you aren’t that talented like our secondary is you can make up for it with smarts. Right now they are doing neither. But we heard all summer that was the one group where we are still way behind. But I’d still like to see Z play…what’s the worst the happens he gives up a long play…he will learn from it.
