Not really....A matter of fact, here's the Pic...What they thought was Nessie, was actually Shalala's leg and foot...
The canal that runs in front of the Wellness Center has Snook and Barracuda. Tarpon in Lake Osceola. I used to fish the part by Ponce. It used to be the Scodella lot. Where parking garage is now located.Snook also live in brackish water and can survive in fresh water. In murky water they can easily be confused for barracuda.
Don't know how it works on Pluto but you just added a premeditation charge to yourself.A xenomorph like myself lurks in the lake. Biding my time to snatch UM cheerleaders. It’s only a matter of time
Peter Ariz's eyebrow clippers.
I saw a big gator in 2007 or 2008 in front of the old Rat.
In the late 70's Jacque Cousteau lead an expedition to explore and map the lake depths. They found an underwater tunnel leading to the Mayan Underworld. Very cool. Google it.
A manatee was photographed two weeks ago.
My favorite. Real tasty fish.Snook also live in brackish water and can survive in fresh water. In murky water they can easily be confused for barracuda.
Lots of saltwater species will swim upstream into brackish water but barracuda aren't one of them. Snook and tarpon are commonly found in fresh or brackish water and bull sharks have been known to swim miles upstream into fresh water. Manatees will also come further inshore in the winter time when the water temperatures in deeper water drop too cold.
Tarpon can live in 100% freshwater and I've seen manatees in the springs in north Florida. I don't know about mullets but I believe you. I used to live on the Dania cut off canal near the western end of it by 441. The water was very brackish as the freshwater canals from west Broward would dump into the cutoff canal right there. I'd catch all sorts of snook and tarpon in my back yard. When the mullet were running you could hear them splash at all hours. Depending on the tide and current, I could even snag mangrove snappers. Had a lot of back yard fish fries at that house.I used to see mullets and tarpon jumping around in some of the lakes west of Hialeah and Miami Lakes....this was late 1970s and early 1980s.....some folks I know that grew up in area during 1960s said Manatees used to reach those lakes too.
Caught a tarpon around '88 in the lake behind the optimist field.I used to see mullets and tarpon jumping around in some of the lakes west of Hialeah and Miami Lakes....this was late 1970s and early 1980s.....some folks I know that grew up in area during 1960s said Manatees used to reach those lakes too.
