Holy ****! Did you see what Clay Helton and USC has for a recruiting class right now? 79th in the country, last in the conference and one 4 star, with 11 total recruits. I never thought they would fall so hard from what they used to be. The classes and talent that came through there was insane even when they losing 3 games a season. The symmetry between Miami and USC is just unreal, not that with this recruiting class of course, but I also think it speaks volume to the extent of how difficult it is to run a program in a major city.

Ive always thought USC is very similar to Miami, sister schools in a way.

crazy how we haven’t hit that rock bottom yet

They’ve won a little bit more since their last natty in 04 than us...

USCw (or Us for that matter) should never be down this long

This is a testament on Helton being a horrible recruiter. He and his staff isnt bad, they just don't have the horses that they normally have.

When did people start referring to South Carolina as USC??

USC was always Southern California & South Carolina was just South Carolina, I don't ever remember hearing anyone calling South Carolina USC...

That's always been weird to me whenever you say USC & someone says "which one?" Like, there's only ever been one, hasn't it?

Am I off on that? Lol

This is a testament that Helton is a horrible coach. There's no excuse for that class ranking. It's actually absurd.

Fans want Helton gone b/c he’s bleeding So Cal recruits to other schools; fck that, hemorrhaging So Cal recruits. It’s been that way for a while, now. He can’t keep the elites home & every year it’s becoming worse. (Clearly)

It's been like that as long as I remember. South Carolina with George Rogers traveled to the Coliseum in 1980. Prior to the game there were numerous articles about USC vs. USC. The Trojans won the game but it was best known for all the titanic collisions between Ronnie Lott and Rogers, who received a standing ovation from Coliseum fans after a long touchdown run late in the game.

Then a few years later in the rematch at Columbia the outcome was reversed and South Carolina fans tried to use the result as excuse to proclaim that they were the real USC.

There is a simple solution. In the West everybody calls it 'SC. Just leave out the U. Meanwhile in South Carolina you don't hear it that way. They use the full USC.

Their fans complain about the same issues Miami fans complain about: lack of real dedication to football by the Admin, poor coaching hires and lack of true recruiters.

They have a new President and AD who are mired down by all the scandal and mismanagement of previous administrations. Boosters are up in arms and cutting back on donations. Debt in the athletic department despite a proclivity to do things “on the cheap”. The list goes on and on.

Sound familiar?

Miami and USC are very Similar, USC is just a bigger west coast version of Miami if you will, both private schools, USC spends more on athletics though

Yeah, when someone says USC I automatically think of the Trojans, South Carolina is just South Carolina to me. So yeah The USCe thing is stupid IMO

Yeah it's mind blowing. You have LA County, Orange County, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County producing that rank??!! Bruh, even Manny would recruit better than Helton.

Don't forget San Diego County, pimp. USC has so much territory to recruit. Practically all of So Cal driving up through Central CA is USC territory and Helton hasn't landed the cream for a minute.

But my most miserable years living in LA was when SC went on their little run and dating a chick from there. Nothing brought me more joy than to see USC blow that National Championship Game against UT in 06 in front of all their fans. lol. So I have no pity for their woes now.
