One day after reinstating suspended HC D J Durkin, the U of Maryland, under pressure from the Governor, has just fired the man this evening.

My guess is recruits (certainly) and current team members (maybe) will be wanting to leave. And, hopefully, be able to play immediately wherever they might transfer. Oh, BTW, Maryland does have some linemen who can actually play at a high level. Both sides of the ball. Some significantly better than guys we currently are starting. They did beat Texas in this season's opener, and pretty soundly for the second year in a row.

Wonder how the 5 star DeMatha RB we lost to the Terps last year views everything now!

Who’s their OC? And is the scheme one that could work for us? Lol

Wonder how that rb McFarland we and the staff thought would sign with us and chose Maryland instead. Idiot.

idk why people are still a bit butt hurt over McFarland.

He would have NEVER played here at running back. He would have been behind Robert Burns. For real.

Probably would have converted him to a slot WR.

Said it then...will say it now...he was no loss.

McFarland has looked pretty good in this, his second year, in the Terps program. Clearly has speed, if not size. Not nearly at the level of Stefon Diggs, other big-time Maryland recruit from local DC area but ... he's coming on.

Oh **** it’s Matt Canada! I know he didn’t work out at LSU but I thought his schemes were good at Pitt!
He's done a good job, especially considering the s***storm swirling around him. I imagine he'll be named HC, taking the interim tag off it!

He had Jeff Thomas speed, for one.

Not hurt about him not coming, it’s more some of these kids dont know what it means to give your word. Don’t say they’re kids. Learned as a kid your word is very important.
