I love Fugazi. Probably a lot won’t be into their politics but as band, imho the best from late 80s-2001 and it’s not even close. Powerful, awesome compositionally, tremendous rhythm section. Never allowed big label to corrupt their sound. Inspirational.

Saw a lot of great bands late 60s and 70s down in Miami. Led Zep at the Sporatorium and at beach Convention Hall, Hendrix at Miami Jai-alai, Santana(my personal favorite). Eric Burdon & War, Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago) at Miami Dade-South, The Doors, The Chambers Brothers, Rare Earth and many others that I have forgotten.

All this was in my Jr and Sr high years and bring back memories.
Didn’t do any concerts football took everything 24-7 BUT I loved listening and being a high school stud had a hard time getting off Friday night game bus without cheerleaders and class girls dragging me to after game parties IF YOU GET MY DRIFT.

It was AMAZING smoke filled houses beer OMG girls on attack with ZEP / DOORS BLASTING .

IT WAS A WOW high school career OMG awesome hot girl galore

Mad Season was like an all-star band with Layne Staley at vocals so I sometimes overlook them, but they were amazing:

Yes. Plus Temple of the Dog album. Audioslave was a great supergroup. Velvet Revolver was awesome too.

At an after Friday night high school game party and this blonde super hot been eyeing her sat on my lap started French Tongue wrestling next thing I knew SHE SHOT GUNNED ME WITH A “ROACH” I had no idea since I lived breathing only football all my life SHOT GUNNED ROACHD ME.

I freaked and SWOLLED the small smoldering weed .

CaneinOrlando was an Executive Sous Chef at the Famous Don Cesar on St Pete Beach in the Mid 80s and got to meet both Warren DiMartini (Lead Guitarist for RATT) and Danny Joe Brown, lead singer for Molly Hatchett...both were Super cool dudes....

Warren is my favorite Hair Band guitarist. Saw Ratt on my 21st B Day at the Bronco Bowl in Ft. Worth - 1986.

My 2 all time favorites are Nirvana and Guns N’ Roses. Nothing comes close to those two for me though I love so many bands from 70s/80s/90s rock. Here are my favorite songs by each band. It just sucks we’ll never have music anywhere near this level ever again

And this has gotta be a top 5-10 all time song in rock n roll’s pantheon of hits. RVZ was out of this world. So sad he died in a plane crash because Skynyrd was something else. I’d rate Freebird and Simple Man in the top 10 all time rock n roll songs. Enjoy this one.
