Good take. If he doesn't pan out, plenty of time for him to find another landing spot. If he does, we will end up in a bidding war with UF/UGA to keep his services. All in the game.

I'll trust Mirabal and Cristobal until our offensive line is average again... hoping that is never the case.

Just glad our projects at offensive line have measurables and are 6'6ish 300ish and not short in height and length like some of our old regimes.

I think they know what they have this year and next year and are gonna take body types with basketball backgrounds. Campbell plays nasty and Wilkerson is huge. Miami will recruit Thomas and big time kids. We will see. But it seems like next year it the year they will spend on replacing the line.

In fairness, if he played with Flagg for Maine United he played at the highest level you can in HS travel ball facing guys who are taller and more athletic than him. Now Wilkerson OTH played against some real suspect competition in the limited bball highlights I saw from him.

Well yea I understand why mentioning it to showcase his athleticism but still like to hear and see him destroying fools in game film

I think this Mario's strategy, lock in option B and C, then go work on your plan for Option 1 and make it happen.

Mauigoa was practicing against legit D1 competition daily, literally as good as it gets. There's not a school better in the country to check out if someone is a legit D1 prospect or not. Then there's their schedule which often has a ton of other talented teams on it.

So when you look good there, you're at least a player. These small schools though, they don't face anyone on their level. Their only shot to go against bigger, faster, quicker, longer, rangier, etc individuals is at camps. Camps can be deceiving though as it's a brief snapshot.

Like the size, but other than that it's hard to say much.

I hear you, but it'll come down to the best fit if we get to that point. He could stop growing today and it's a moot point. Even at 13, it's just fun, what he loves to do, and he does anything we ask of him. Self starter with football, now if we could get him to do that with everything else, that would be great. All A's or all A's and one B kind of kid wirh the books. Smart, but a total space case at everything else. Funny how kids are always so different growing up in the same household.

Archbishop Hoban here in Akron is a really good program, checks both the academic and athlete boxes. They’ve been one of the stronger programs in state over the last decade, having won or played for the title 8 years out of 10, but having lost 3 straight. My nephew played at Glenville up in Cleveland last year, they won the Division IV championship. He started at QB on the JV, he’s a c/o ‘27 kid.

St. Edward up in Lakewood, a suburb of Cleveland is probably the best big school program in the state, they’ve won 3 in a row in DI. They used to have the top wrestling program in the state as well. They’re strong in basketball and soccer too.

I’m sure that you’ll find a great landing spot for your kids. I’ll be rooting for him wherever he lands.
