I did the challenge, and donated. Out of the 3 people I challenged, one did the challenge and donated, while the other 2 donated. All together, we donated more than $300. My best friend in high school lost her father to ALS, so I'm very happy that this has taken off the way it has.

I watched my beautiful grandmother wither away to nothing and die less than eight months after being diagnosed with ALS. I sat by her bed with my mom as she passed and looked into the face of a woman who meant everything to me, but I was helpless to provide any type of relief for her. I will always support ALS research and encourage those who are unfamiliar with the disease to go to ALS.org and consider offering your support.

//climbs down off of soapbox.

God Bless her!
