Yes, I've done it. I've single handily fought ALS by dumping cold water on myself. I deserve a ******* nobel peace prize or some ****.

I watched my beautiful grandmother wither away to nothing and die less than eight months after being diagnosed with ALS. I sat by her bed with my mom as she passed and looked into the face of a woman who meant everything to me, but I was helpless to provide any type of relief for her. I will always support ALS research and encourage those who are unfamiliar with the disease to go to ALS.org and consider offering your support.

The only thing about the challenge that makes no sense to me is that, from what I've read, it's either donate money to ALS research or do the ice bucket...so basically all the people would rather dump cold water on their head than donate to charity. Basically it seems to have become less about the charity and more about getting your buddy to dump cold water on their head.

My understanding is if you dump the water, you have to give $10.
If you are called out and don't do it, you have to donate $100.
Obviously you can't be forced to do it, but it uses competition and embarassment of being called out.
Kevin Hart did it and called out D Wade and Lebron.
