The former head coach agreed with these determinations. Therefore, pursuant to NCAA Bylaw 19.5, the committee imposes an 18-month show-cause order upon the former head coach. During this period, which begins on June 26, 2013, and runs through December 25, 2014, if any member institution seeks to hire the former head coach in an athletically related capacity, it and the former head coach shall appear before the Committee on Infractions to consider which, if any, of the show-cause procedures of Bylaw 19.5.2.2 (l) should be imposed upon him.

10. The committee concluded that the former assistant director of operations violated NCAA recruiting legislation.

Chip Kelly gets show cause penalty - doubt he gets that if he hasn't already moved to the NFL

THE MAJORITY OF THE PARTIES IN THIS SCANDAL NO LONGER HAVE ANY CONNECTION TO OREGON.

They hit Kelly (no longer there and irrelevant) with a Show Cause penalty.

$25,000.00 = No Bowl Bans

Dyron Dye also already sat games and was personally punished too. My thing is they basically punished the WRONGDOERS and not the program, Oregon (like USCe with the 50K BS) made a direct substantial payment from the coaches under the watch of the HC and got off with nothing.

1 Ship per year is a joke, and

Punishing an HC who is an NFL coach is a joke.

So a head coach, who already signed an NFL contract for over the period they gave a show cause for, gets a show cause.

And the school gets one ship per year.

Why even bother investigating and meeting?

So the message here is that your head football coach can pay a guy to steer recruits, but if a low level coach gets a kid introduced to a guy to give him a boat ride, that's 2 years or more of bowl bans? Effing retarded.

Oregon is a **** team to watch on TV so there is no way they would hammer them. Translation = We don't want to jeopardize revenue

U aint neva lied

No way we get anymore bowl bans and I would be really upset if we get more than 9 schollies over 3 years.

I think 3 schollies a year for 3 years would be enough with 3-5 years probation.

I think Golden would be able to go to business as normal with that punishment going forward. It has already been said more than enuogh times, we have already been hammered by the NCAA taking so long.
